Bowler Motors Limited is a manufacturer of off-road racing vehicles based on the Land Rover Defender and Range Rover chassis. The company is located in the town of Belper, Derbyshire, in the United Kingdom. Company The company was founded by Drew Bowler, who founded the company in 1985, after modifying a Land Rover Series I to drive competitively. After seeing considerable success, he started taking orders from others for similar vehicles. Bowler Wildcat
The Bowler Wildcat is an off-road vehicle originally made by Bowler Offroad. It is an evolution of the Bowler Tomcat using some components from the Land Rover Defender. The initial version, Wildcat 100, had a tubular chassis with 100" wheelbase and used the same body style as the previous box-section chassis "Tomcat 100". The Wildcat 200 was an evolution of this having a completely new spaceframe (of 106" wheelbase) and fibreglass body panels. The Wildcat has been entered in various off-road rally raids, most notably the Dakar Rally and Rallye des Pharaons. Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI, formerly stylized DSEi) is a biennial defence and security trade exhibition which serves as a forum between governments, national armed forces, industry, and academics, held at ExCeL London. Jaguar AJ-V8
The Jaguar Cars, Jaguar AJ-V8 is a compact DOHC V8 engine, V8 piston engine used in many Jaguar vehicles. It was the fourth new engine type in the history of the company. It was an in house design with work beginning before Ford's purchase of the company. British Hill Climb Championship
The British Hillclimb Championship (BHC) is the most prestigious hillclimbing championship in Great Britain. The British Hill Climb Championship was held every year from 1947 to 2019, and resumed in 2021. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All British Champions have been British. The most successful driver in terms of individual victories is Scott Moran, with 163, followed by Martin Groves (104) and Roy Lane (91). Moran and Tony Marsh jointly hold the record for the most championships, with six apiece. The Dakar Rally () or simply "The Dakar" (), formerly known as the Paris–Dakar Rally (), is an annual rally raid organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). It is an off-road endurance event traversing terrain much tougher than conventional rallying, and the vehicles used are typically true off-road vehicles and motorcycles, rather than modified on-road vehicles. Most of the competitive special sections are off-road, crossing dunes, mud, camel grass, rocks, and erg. Stages vary from short distances up to per day. Bowler Nemesis
The Bowler Nemesis is an off-road racing vehicle designed, manufactured and sold by Bowler Off-Road. The Nemesis is intended to be used in endurance rally raid events such as the Dakar Rally and Rallye des Pharaons. Design and construction The Nemesis takes styling elements such as grille, headlights and rear lights from the Range Rover Sport. Like the Bowler Wildcat that preceded it, the Nemesis has a tubular steel spaceframe construction that incorporates a roll cage as an integral part of the frame structure. The spaceframe and roll cage are approved by the Motor Sports Association for racing. Unlike the Wildcat, the Nemesis features a fully independent suspension design.
