Life Bovell was born on 23 November 1962 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and completed his secondary school education in Perth. George Bovell
George Richard Lycott Bovell (born 18 July 1983) is an Olympic bronze medalist swimmer and former world record holder from Trinidad and Tobago. Bovell is also a two-time World Championship bronze medalist. Olympic career George Bovell represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics. At the 2004 Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the men's 200 IM: the 9th medalist in the country's history and 12th medal overall. It was also the first-ever Olympic swimming medal for the country, and T&T's only medal from the 2004 Olympics. Kalena Bovell
Kalena Bovell is an American conductor. As of 2020, Bovell, who has both African-American and Hispanic ancestry, was the only conductor in the United States of African-American and Hispanic descent. She is currently assistant conductor of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Biography Bovell grew up in Los Angeles after her parents moved there from Panama. She began singing at the age of nine and came to classical music when she joined a beginning strings class at age eleven. Being seven years self taught, her first private lesson occurred when she was 18. Bovell played the violin. She discovered her love of conducting as a sophomore at Chapman University which she graduated from in 2009. She attended graduate school at the Hartt School. James Bovell
James Bovell (1817–1880) was a prominent Canadian physician, microscopist, educator, theologian and minister. In his youth, he traveled to London to study medicine at Guy's Hospital. There, he was related to Sir Astley Cooper and had Richard Bright and Thomas Addison among his professors, and Robert Graves and William Stokes among his colleagues. He studied at schools in Edinburgh and Glasgow and later was elected a member of the Royal College of Physicians. When he returned to Canada he worked on the fields of pathology and clinical microscopy, and he founded the ''Upper Canada Journal of Medical, Surgical, and Physical Science'' which he edited. He became an important member of the Canadian Institute and later became a vice president of it.
