	Franklin Bound Franklin Bound (April 9, 1829 – August 8, 1910) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, who served with the 28th Pennsylvania Militia, Emergency of 1863 during the American Civil War, and was elected to represent Pennsylvania's 14th District, post-war, as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Appointed as a delegate to the 1860 political convention at which Andrew Gregg Curtin was nominated to be his party's candidate for governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bound was also a delegate to the post-war Republican National Convention in Chicago, Illinois in 1868. Formative years Born in Milton, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1829, Bound attended the common schools of Northumberland County, as well as the Milton Academy, which was located in his hometown. 	Mensun Bound Mensun Bound (born 4 February 1953) is a British maritime archaeologist born in Stanley, Falkland Islands. He is best known as director of exploration for two expeditions to the Weddell Sea which led to the rediscovery of the Endurance,BBC News, 9.3.22 in which Sir Ernest Shackleton and a crew of 27 men sailed for the Antarctic on the 1914–1917 Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. The ship sank after being crushed by the ice on 21 November 1915. It was rediscovered by thEndurance22 expeditionon 5 March 2022. He is also known for directing the excavation of an Etruscan 6th-century BC shipwreck off Giglio Island, Italy, the oldest known shipwreck of the Archaic era, and the Hoi An Cargo which revolutionized the understanding of Ming-Vietnamese porcelain from Vietnam's art-historical Golden Age.
