Alfred Boultbee
Alfred Boultbee (March 5, 1828 – December 29, 1901) was an Ontario lawyer and political figure. He represented York North in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1871 to 1874 and York East in the House of Commons of Canada as a Conservative member from 1878 to 1882. He was born in Hampshire, England in 1829 and came to Ancaster Township in Upper Canada with his family in 1836. He articled in law with William Notman and was called to the bar in 1855. He began practice in Newmarket, but later joined Thomas McCulloch Fairbairn in a practice in Peterborough. After the death of Fairbairn in 1874, he moved his practice to Toronto. In 1857, he married Caroline Augusta, the daughter of George Hamilton. He served as reeve for Newmarket for a number of years. John Boultbee (artist)
John Boultbee (1753–1812) was an English painter of equestrian and other sporting subjects. He was born in Osgathorpe, Leicestershire on 4 June 1753 and died in Liverpool on 30 November 1812. He had a twin brother Thomas (1753–1808) who was also a painter. They both entered the Royal Academy Schools in 1775 during the period of the presidency of Sir Joshua Reynolds, exhibiting in London, including at the Royal Academy. John Boultbee exhibited six paintings at the Royal Academy The first in 1776 (''A landscape'') and the last two in 1788 (''Portrait of Horses'' and ''Portrait of a favourite horse of Mr Bakewell''). John Boultbee (3 September 1799 – 1854) was born at Bunny, Nottinghamshire was the ninth and youngest son of Sarah Elizabeth Lane and her husband, Joseph Boultbee, minor Nottinghamshire gentry. John Boultbee (sport Administrator)
John Francis Boultbee AM (born 9 March 1950) is a lawyer and leading Australian sport administrator particularly in relation to rowing and football. In 1990, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to rowing as an administrator. He was appointed the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Tribunal in March 2020. Personal He was born in Orange, New South Wales on 9 March 1950. Thomas Pownall Boultbee
Thomas Pownall Boultbee, LL.D. (1818–1884), was an English clergyman. Life Boultbee, the eldest son of Thomas Boultbee, for forty-seven years Vicar of Bidford, Warwickshire, was born on 7 Aug. 1818. He was also the nephew of John Boultbee the adventurer. He was sent to Uppingham School in 1833, which he left with an exhibition to St John's College, Cambridge. He took the degree of B.A. in 1841, as fifth wrangler. In March 1842 he was elected fellow of his college, and proceeded M.A. in 1844. He took orders immediately; and after holding one or two curacies, and taking pupils, he became curate to the Rev. Francis Close, of Cheltenham, afterwards dean of Carlisle.
