James Bernard Boudreau (born July 25, 1944) is a Canadian lawyer and politician. Provincial politics Boudreau was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from Cape Breton The Lakes in the 1988 provincial election. He was re-elected in 1993, and was appointed to the Executive Council of Nova Scotia as Minister of Finance in the Liberal government of John Savage. From 1996, he served as Minister of Health. When Savage resigned in 1997, Boudreau entered the leadership race to succeed him, but was defeated by Russell MacLellan, prompting Boudreau to leave provincial politics. Bruce Allan Boudreau (born January 9, 1955) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach currently serving as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks. He previously served as head coach of the Washington Capitals, Anaheim Ducks, and Minnesota Wild. As a player, Boudreau played professionally for 20 seasons, logging 141 games in the NHL and 30 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA). She served as a herald in the Canadian Heraldic Authority from March 17, 1997 in the office of Saguenay Herald and later as Saint-Laurent Herald, to which office she succeeded on the retirement of Auguste Vachon, and then Deputy Chief Herald from December 1, 2005 until June 16, 2007, when she was made the second Chief Herald of Canada following the retirement of Robert Watt. Jean Boudreau (1748 – August 31, 1827) was a political figure in Lower Canada. He was born in Acadia, probably at Port Royal, in 1748, the son of Charles Boudrot, a descendant of one of the first settlers at Port Royal. Jean and his parents escaped the Great Upheaval in 1755 and travelled to Quebec City via New Brunswick in 1757. Around 1764, the family settled at Deschambault, where his older sister had married the seigneur Louis Fleury de la Gorgendière. Boudreau became a navigator for ships travelling the Saint Lawrence River. In 1792, he was elected to represent Hampshire in the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada. Jim Boudreau is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in the 2009 provincial election. He represented the electoral district of Guysborough-Sheet Harbour as a member of the New Democratic Party. Louis Boudreau (July 17, 1917 – August 10, 2001), nicknamed "Old Shufflefoot", "Handsome Lou", and "The Good Kid", was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 15 seasons, primarily as a shortstop on the Cleveland Indians, and managed four teams for 15 seasons including 10 seasons as a player-manager. Lucien Boudreau (August 6, 1874 – December 16, 1962) was a politician, mayor of St. Albert, Alberta, and member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta (then called the Provincial Parliament). Early life Boudreau was born in St-Gregoire de Nicolet, Quebec in 1874. In 1893, he moved to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, where he spent two years before moving to Alberta. He found employment as a clerk in a store in Strathcona (now part of Edmonton). Before long, he went into business himself, founding a real estate business that he sold in 1901 to Michael Hogan.
