Botafogo Futebol Clube (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Botafogu Futibol Klubi'', Djarfogo: ''Botafogu Futebol Klubi'') is football club that plays in the Fogo Island League in Cape Verde. It is based in the city of São Filipe in the island of Fogo and plays in its stadium. Académica do Fogo are one of the unrelegated clubs on the island which includes Académica and Vulcânicos. The owner of the club as of 2014 was Cabo Verde Telecom. It is one of many teams that only a few titles before (including one in the 1960s) and since independence including one in 1980. Its president as of the 2014–15 season is Manuel Anatólio Dias Fonseca and its manager as of the 2015–16 season is Mário Pinto. Botafogo (local/standard alternative Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation: ) is a beachfront neighborhood ('' bairro'') in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 2001 Cape Verdean Football Championships
The 2001 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 22nd of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. The competition started on 7 April and finished on 6 June, 2001. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Onze Unidos won their first and only title. No club participated in the 2001 CAF Champions League and the 2001 CAF Winners Cup. Sporting Clube da Praia, short form: Sporting Praia ( Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK as well as Badiu: ''Sporting Klubi di Praia'') is a professional football club that plays in the Santiago South Premier Division in Cape Verde. It is based in the capital city of Praia in the island of Santiago, one of the unrelegated clubs in the south of the island along with three of the city's four historically mightiest clubs including Académica, Boavista and CD Travadores. Associação Spartak D'Aguadinha is a sports club whose football team had played in the Premier division and plays in the Fogo Island League in Cape Verde. It is based in São Filipe's subdivision of Aguadinha located next to Bila Baxo (the city center) in the island of Fogo and plays at Estádio 5 de Julho.
