The British Overseas Territories (BOTs), also known as the United Kingdom Overseas Territories (UKOTs), are fourteen territories with a constitutional and historical link with the United Kingdom. They are the last remnants of the former British Empire and do not form part of the United Kingdom itself. The permanently inhabited territories are internally self-governing, with the United Kingdom retaining responsibility for defence and foreign relations. Bot, Tarragona
Bot is a town located in the ''comarca'' of Terra Alta, province of Tarragona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is located between the Serra de la Solsida and the Serra dels Pesells ranges. In 2003 Bot had a total population of 793. The people in the town of Bot have been traditionally engaged in wine production. There was a Renfe railway line from Tortosa to Alcañiz and Zaragoza that used to pass through Bot until 1973. This line was dismantled as a result of a 1962 World Bank report advising the Spanish State to concentrate investment in the great lines and to abandon the less profitable railways connecting rural areas. Theodorus Hendrikus "Theo" Bot (20 July 1911 – 24 September 1984) was a Dutch politician and diplomat of the defunct Catholic People's Party (KVP) now merged into the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and jurist. Bot attended a Gymnasium in Utrecht from May 1924 until June 1930 and applied at the Utrecht University in June 1930 majoring in Law and obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree in July 1932 before graduating with a Master of Laws degree in July 1936. Bot also applied at the Royal Military Academy in Breda in January 1933 to be trained as a reserve Artillery Officer in the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army graduating as a Lieutenant in September 1936. Ajaw or Ahau ('Lord') is a pre-Columbian Maya political title attested from epigraphic inscriptions. It is also the name of the 20th day of the ''tzolkʼin'', the Maya divinatory calendar, on which a ruler's ''kʼatun''-ending rituals would fall.
