Bostancı Ferry Terminal
The Bostancı Ferry Terminal ( tr, Bostancı Feribot Terminali), also known as the Bostancı İDO Terminal ( tr, Bostancı İDO Terminali), is a ferry terminal in Bostancı, Kadıköy located on Çetin Emeç Boulevard on the Marmara Sea in Istanbul. İDO operates seabus ferry service from Bostancı to other piers in Istanbul as well as destinations across the Marmara Sea. It is located adjacent to the historic Bostancı Pier, built in 1913. Connection to IETT city bus service as well as train service from the nearby Bostancı station is available. Bostancı Terminal opened in 1987 and was one of İDO's first three ferry terminals along with Kabataş and Bakırköy. In the 1990s, İDO expanded their ferry service greatly and ferries operated out of Bostancı to Kartal, Pendik Pendik is a district of Istanbul, Turkey on the Asian side between Kartal and Tuzla, on the Marmara Sea. Bostancı is a neighbourhood of Kadıköy, located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Turkey, on the shore of the Sea of Marmara. As the easternmost neighbourhood of the Kadıköy district; it borders Suadiye and Kozyatağı (also neighbourhoods of Kadıköy) to the west, İçerenköy (a neighbourhood of Ataşehir) to the north, and Altıntepe (a neighbourhood of Maltepe) to the east. A predominantly residential area, Bostancı is an important transport interchange with stops on the Marmaray and M4 Metro lines and ferries leaving for the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara. Avşa Island ( tr, Avşa Adası) or Türkeli is a Turkish island in the southern Sea of Marmara with an area of about . It was the classical and Byzantine Aphousia ( el, Ἀφουσία or Ἀφησιά) and was a place of exile during the Byzantine period. Pendik is a district of Istanbul, Turkey on the Asian side between Kartal and Tuzla, on the Marmara Sea. Home to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. Population is 711,894.
