Bosna, Edirne
Bosna is a village in the Edirne District of Edirne Province in Turkey. The village had a population of 71 in 2022. A village ( tr, köy) is the second smallest settlement unit in Turkey. Hierarchical model There are 81 provinces ( tr, il) in Turkey. The governor of each province is called '' vali''. There are a number of ilçe (district) in each province. In İstanbul, the most populous province, the number of districts is 39. But in small provinces the number may be as low as 3. In 51 provinces, the capital of the province is also a district known as the central district with the same name. Edirne Province
Edirne Province ( tr, ) is a Turkish province located in East Thrace. Part of European Turkey, it is one of only three provinces located entirely within continental Europe. Edirne Province is bordered by Tekirdağ Province and Kırklareli Province to the east, and the Gallipoli peninsula of Çanakkale Province to the south-east. It shares international borders with Bulgaria (Haskovo and Yambol Provinces) to the north and Greece (Eastern Macedonia and Thrace) to the west. Karaağaç, Edirne
Karaağaç is a suburb of Edirne in northwestern Turkey at the border with Greece. Karaağaç is 4 km southwest from the center of Edirne, across the river Maritsa and opposite the Greek village Kastanies. In 1890, the large Karaağaç railway station was built in the town, which also served Edirne, becoming the last train stop in Turkey to Europe. In 1971, Turkish State Railways (TCDD) constructed a new railway station at the opposite side of the river, abandoning the former one, which is now used as Trakya University's Faculty of Fine Arts. The Treaty of Lausanne Monument and Museum, which opened in 1998, are located next to the former railway station.
