Carolyn Maloney
Carolyn Jane Maloney (née Bosher, February 19, 1946) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2013, and for from 1993 to 2013. The district includes most of Manhattan's East Side, Astoria and Long Island City in Queens, Greenpoint, Brooklyn, as well as Roosevelt Island. Maloney is a member of the Democratic Party. She ran for reelection in 2022 but lost the primary to 10th district incumbent Jerry Nadler after redistricting drew them both into the 12th district. Maloney was the first woman to represent New York City's 7th Council district (where she was the first woman to give birth while in office). Maloney was also the first woman to chair the Joint Economic Committee. On October 17, 2019, she became the first woman to chair the House Committee on Oversight and Reform following the death of Elijah Cummings. Matthew Bosher (born October 18, 1987) is an American football punter who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Miami. High school career Bosher played high school football at Jupiter High School in Jupiter, Florida. While playing for the Jupiter High School Warriors, he was one of the top placekickers in the country. He was rated as the best placekicker in the country by Scout.com, the third best by ESPN, and the sixth best by Rivals.com. Jeffrey Alan "Buddy" Boshers (born May 9, 1988) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins, and Toronto Blue Jays. Early life A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Boshers is a graduate of Lee High School in Alabama. He attended Calhoun Community College. Career Los Angeles Angels Boshers was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the fourth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the rookie-level Orem Owlz, tossing 13 games of 2.68 ERA ball. Boshers split the 2009 season between three different Angels affiliates; Orem, the Single-A Cedar Rapids Kernels, and the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees.
