Boronia Boliviensis
''Boronia boliviensis'', commonly known as Bolivia Hill boronia is a plant in the citrus family, Rutaceae and is endemic to a small area on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. It is a strongly scented shrub with pinnate leaves, deep pink flowers in spring and with its young branches covered with fine, yellow hairs. It is only known from higher parts of the Bolivia Range where it grows on granite outcrops. Description ''Boronia boliviensis'' is an erect, strongly scented shrub with many branches and which grows to a height of between . The branches, when young are densely covered with fine, yellowish, branched hairs but become glabrous with age. Its leaves are dark green and bipinnate with between 5 and 9 leaflets. John Beaumont Williams
John Beaumont Williams (12 February 1932 – 31 July 2005) was an Australian botanist who spent most of his working life, from 1957 until 1992 as a lecturer in taxonomy, anatomy and ecology at the University of New England (Australia), University of New England. He graduated Bachelor of Science from University of Sydney, Sydney University in 1953 and commenced a Doctor of Philosophy, PhD under the supervision of Noel Beadle. When Beadle was appointed Chair of Botany at the University of New England, Williams followed to take up a lecturing position at the same institution and to complete his PhD. For the next few years he concentrated on teaching, fieldwork and producing plant lists for north-eastern New South Wales as well as spending time studying in the Jodrell Laboratory at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew working on the family Haemodoraceae. In botany, a peduncle is a stalk supporting an inflorescence or a solitary flower, or, after fecundation, an infructescence or a solitary fruit. The peduncle sometimes has bracts (a type of cataphylls) at nodes. The main axis of an inflorescence above the peduncle is the rachis. There are no flowers on the peduncle but there are flowers on the rachis. ''Boronia'' is a genus of about 160 species of flowering plants in the citrus family Rutaceae. Most are endemic to Australia with a few species in New Caledonia, which were previously placed in the genus ''Boronella''. They occur in all Australian states but the genus is under review and a number of species are yet to be described or have the description published.
