Borna Nyaoke-Anoke
Borna Nyaoke is a Kenyan physician and clinical researcher, who took over as Head of Mycetoma Research in 2023 from her previous position as Manager of Clinical Trials at Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative/ Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership (DNDi/GARDP). She previously worked as a Clinical Trial Manager at the KAVI (Kenya AIDS Vaccine Initiative) Institute of Clinical Research, based in the University of Nairobi. Nyaoke, a public health specialist, together with Dr. Roselyne Okello, a radiologist, Dr. Nida Okumu, an infectious diseases specialist and Dr. Achieng Aling, an obstetrician and gynecologist, founded ''Hema Foundation'', a Nairobi-based non-government organisation, in 2015. Stellah Wairimu Bosire, is a Kenyan physician, corporate executive, human rights activist and author, a former Co-Executive Director of UHAI EASHRI and also previously served as the chief executive officer of ''Kenya Medical Association'' and as the vice-chair of the HIV and AIDS Tribunal of Kenya. Sylvia Shitsama Nyamweya (née Sylvia Shitsama), is a Kenyan consultant neurosurgeon at the Kenyatta National Hospital, Kenyatta National Referral Hospital. She is the first female neurosurgeon in Kenya and one of a handful of female neurosurgeons in the country. Background and education She was born in the Kakamega District in Kenya in 1983, and attended Kenyan schools for her elementary and secondary education. Elizabeth Wangari Itotia (born ), is a nuclear pharmacist from Kenya. She is the first Kenyan woman to qualify as a nuclear pharmacist (also referred to as a ''radiopharmacist'').
