''Born to Be'' is the second Korean language, Korean-language and the third overall Album, studio album by the South Korean girl group Itzy. The album was released on January 8, 2024, through JYP Entertainment, Republic Records, and Dreamus, six months following the release of ''Kill My Doubt'' (2023), and as their first Korean-language full-length release since ''Crazy in Love (Itzy album), Crazy in Love'' (2021). Released during Lia (South Korean singer), Lia's hiatus, the album was promoted by the group as a quartet. Aspiring to explore different genres and styles, ''Born to Be'' sees Itzy explore different genres and styles. Thematically, the album revolves around the concept of the members being female warriors who embody strength and leave a "lasting expression". Itzy (stylized in all caps; ) is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment and consisting of members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. They debuted on February 12, 2019, with the release of their single album ''It'z Different''. Their accolades include Rookie of the Year at the 34th Golden Disc Awards, New Artist of the Year at the 9th Gaon Chart Music Awards and 2019 Melon Music Awards, Best New Female Artist at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards, and the New Artist Award at the 29th Seoul Music Awards; they are the first K-pop girl group to achieve such a "Rookie Grand Slam".
