Born Romantic
''Born Romantic'' is a 2000 British film directed by David Kane. The film is centered on a salsa club and depicts four love stories. Fergus is trying to find the one he left behind on the eve of their wedding, charmer and Rat Pack fanatic Frankie woos the beautiful Eleanor and the robber Eddie falls hopelessly in love with dowdy cemetery worker Jocelyn. Meanwhile, taxi driver Jimmy is transporting all of them and dealing with a love story of his own. Kassav' is a French Caribbean band formed in Guadeloupe in 1979. The core members of the band are Jacob Desvarieux, Jocelyne Béroard, Jean-Philippe Marthély, Patrick St. Eloi, Jean-Claude Naimro, Claude Vamur, and Georges Décimus (who left to form Volt Face and returned). Fruko y sus Tesos is a salsa group from Colombia that is popular in both Latin America and the United States. It was formed in 1969 by multi-instrumentalist Julio Ernesto Estrada (aka Fruko). Beginning with ''Tesura'' in 1969, the band has recorded 42 albums to date. The band achieved a degree of success after Joe Arroyo was recruited as lead singer in 1973. Cheo Feliciano (3 July 1935 – 17 April 2014) was a Puerto Rican people, Puerto Rican Singing, singer and composer of Salsa music, salsa and bolero music. Feliciano was the owner of a recording company called "Coche Records". He was the first tropical singer to perform at the "Amira de la Rosa Theater" in Barranquilla, Colombia, and in 1987 he played the role of Roberto Clemente's father in the musical ''Clemente''. Henry Fiol (born January 16, 1947) is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader and painter. He is known for his traditional approach to son cubano and other Cuban music styles, and he is considered a "cult favorite" among Latin music fans. Fiol was born in Manhattan, New York, United States, to an Italian-American mother and a Puerto Rican father. He studied fine arts at Hunter College and became a teacher before starting his career as a musician in the 1969. In 1974, he co-founded, along with William Millán, a Cuban-style conjunto called Saoco, recording two albums with the group, ''Siempre seré guajiro'' for Mericana Records and ''Macho Mumba'' for Salsoul Records. The Fania All-Stars is a musical group formed in 1968 as a showcase for the musicians on Fania Records, the leading salsa music record label of the time. Dark Latin Groove (DLG) is a salsa band that mixes salsa, reggae and hip-hop. The group was brought together in New York by producer Sergio George (who also signed them to his record company Sir George Records) and included Huey Dunbar, Fragancia, and James "Da Barba" de Jesus. Beginnings Looking for vocalists, Sergio George discovered within the salsa club scenes both Huey Dunbar and James "Da Barba" de Jesus. Loughborough Road
Loughborough Road is in Brixton, in the south London Borough of Lambeth. Running between Brixton Road and Loughborough Junction, it has always been mainly residential, but in the past two centuries has included many shops and taverns. History Loughborough Road was named after the 17th Century manor house owner, Henry Hastings, 1st Baron Loughborough. It is a street of two halves. The north end between Brixton Road and Akerman Road, remains largely as it was built in the 1850-60s. However, from Akerman Road down to Coldharbour Lane little remains of the original Victorian housing.
