Boris Ovcin
Boris Ocvin (born 23 May 1982 in Yugoslavia) is a Croatian-born Australian footballer who operates as midfielder for Langwarrin SC, of which he is the captain. Early life Born in Yugoslavia, Ovcin was raised there until age 8 when his family relocated to Melbourne, Australia. Career Youth Upon his arrival in Melbourne, Ovcin had stints with the youth teams of Clayton Inter and Chelsea Hajduk, switching to Springvale where he made his senior debut at the age of 16. Under Billy Rae, he had a schedule that would require great exertion as it usually meant playing a reserve game then a senior game shortly after. The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. Joel William Porter (born 25 December 1978) is an Australian football (soccer) player. Sasa Ognenovski ( mk, Саша Огненовски, Saša Ognenovski; born 3 April 1979) is an Australian soccer player who played as a central defender, who represented the Australia national team on 22 occasions, and who last played for Sydney FC in the A-League. Rodrigo Alejandro "Roddy" Vargas (born 20 October 1978) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a central defender for the Victorian State League Division 1 club Nunawading City FC, but is mostly known for his time at Melbourne Victory FC, Green Gully Cavaliers and at Melbourne Knights FC, where he was club captain. The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association. Craig Nettelbeck
Craig Nettelbeck (born 26 May 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sydney Swans and Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL). Nettelbeck was signed by Sydney in 1989, from the Leeton Football Club in the New South Wales Riverina and would be used by the Swans both as a full-back and forward. He was delisted by Sydney after making just two appearances in each of the 1993 and 1994 seasons. Drafted by Fremantle, Nettelbeck moved to Western Australia in 1995 and took part in Fremantle's first official fixture, an Ansett Cup match against St Kilda. He was unable however to make an appearance for Fremantle in the AFL and spent the season in the West Australian Football League with East Perth, playing nine games and kicking 19 goals. A-League Youth, formerly known as the National Youth League and Y-League, is an Australian national soccer youth developmental and under-21s league, founded by Football Federation Australia and now run by the Australian Professional Leagues. The current league was established as a successor to the previous competition of the National Youth League (1984–2004) and commenced in August 2008. The league runs in conjunction with the A-League Men as a developmental or reserve league. The league, as well as the A-League Men and A-League Women are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues. In 2020 it was contested by ten teams, all of which competed in the A-League.
