Boris Kovač
Boris Kovač ( sr, Борис Ковач, Boris Kovač; born 1955) is a Serbian composer and multi-instrumentalist. Biography Kovač was born in Novi Sad, Vojvodina region of Serbia, then part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. He studied on the accordion as a child and later received one year of instruction on saxophone, but is self-taught on a wide array of instruments.François Couture. Kosovo War
The Kosovo War was an armed conflict in Kosovo that started 28 February 1998 and lasted until 11 June 1999. It was fought by the forces of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (i.e. Serbia and Montenegro), which controlled Kosovo before the war, and the Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo Albanian rebel group known as the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). The conflict ended when the NATO, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, intervened by beginning air strikes in March 1999 which resulted in Yugoslav forces withdrawing from Kosovo. Pannonian Plain
The Pannonian Basin, or Carpathian Basin, is a large basin situated in south-east Central Europe. The geomorphological term Pannonian Plain is more widely used for roughly the same region though with a somewhat different sense, with only the lowlands, the plain that remained when the Pliocene Epoch ''Pannonian Sea'' dried out. It is a geomorphological subsystem of the Alps-Himalaya system, specifically a sediment-filled back-arc basin which spread apart during the Miocene. Chamber music is a form of classical music that is composed for a small group of instruments—traditionally a group that could fit in a palace chamber or a large room. Petrovaradin
Petrovaradin ( sr-cyr, Петроварадин, ) is a historic town in the Serbian province of Vojvodina, now a part of the city of Novi Sad. As of 2011, the urban area has 14,810 inhabitants. Lying on the right bank of the Danube, across from the main part of Novi Sad, it is built around the Petrovaradin Fortress, historical anchor of the modern city. Name Petrovaradin was founded by the Celts, but its original name is unknown. During Roman administration it was known as ''Cusum''. After the Romans conquered the region from the Celtic tribe of Scordisci, they built the Cusum fortress where present Petrovaradin Fortress now stands. Bukovac, Novi Sad
Bukovac ( sr-Cyrl, Буковац) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is located in Petrovaradin municipality. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population is 3,936 (2011 census). The name The name Bukovac is thought to be derived from ''bukva'' ('beech'). The legend says that when the first settlers settled where now village's center is, there was an old beech so they named the place Bukovac upon that tree.
