Boris Filchikov
Boris Pavlovich Filchikov (Russian: Бори́с Па́влович Фи́льчиков; 3 August 1918 – 15 January 2006) was a Soviet and Russian sound operator. He participated in the creation of about 500 Soviet and Russian cartoons and in the dubbing of foreign cartoons and feature films. Honoured Cultural Worker of the RSFSR (1987). Biography Filchikov was born on 3 August 1918. At the age of 20, he graduated from the Rostov technical school. At the age of 32, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers with a degree in electrical engineering. In 1938–1940, he worked as a laboratory technician at the Research Institute of Cinematography. He participated in the Great Patriotic War. In 1946–1948, he was the head of the sound department of the Stereokino studio. He became one of the most notable sound operators in Soyuzmultfilm, where he began to work in 1948 and retired in 1997. ''The Humpbacked Horse'' (russian: Конёк-Горбуно́к; tr.:''Konyok Gorbunok'', that is ''The Little Horse - Little Humpback''), is a 1947 Soviet/Russian traditionally animated feature film directed by I. Ivanov-Vano and produced by the Soyuzmultfilm studio in Moscow. The film is based on the poem by Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov, and because of this, it is spoken in rhyme. The English dub has few rhymes and is not an overall feature. A remake also by Ivanov-Vano and Soyuzmultfilm was released in 1975. This version, translated in English by George Molko, was released on October 25, 1977 as ''The Magic Pony''. ''The Tale of Tsar Saltan'' (russian: Ска́зка о царе́ Салта́не , translit=Skazka o tsare Saltanye) is a 1984 Soviet traditionally animated feature film directed by Lev Milchin and Ivan Ivanov-Vano and produced at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. It is an adaptation of the 1831 poem of the same name by Aleksandr Pushkin. Plot summary Gena the Crocodile finds out that Cheburashka is unable to read. Luckily, the next day is September 1, the first day of school, and Gena decides to take Cheburashka to school so he can learn. After failing to buy a school uniform, they go to the school anyway, only to find it is closed for repair. Shapoklyak uses Lariska to stimulate the workers to repair the school quickly.
