Sebastián Borensztein
Sebastián Borensztein (born 22 April 1963) is an Argentine screenwriter and film director, best known for the films '' Chinese Take-Away'' (2011), ''Heroic Losers'' (2019) and the horror television miniseries ''El garante'' (1997). Early life and education Sebastián Borensztein was born on 22 April 1963 in Buenos Aires, the son of comedian Tato Bores and Berta Szpindler. He first studied Communication Sciences at the Universidad del Salvador, but after graduating decided to turn to the performing arts, and studied film directing at the Augusto Fernández school. Career During the 1980s he worked in advertising, but under the guidance of his father, started screenwriting. He wrote, directed and also acted as producer for his father's work, for which he earned several awards. Television Borensztein started out by writing for television. Leon Borensztein
Leon Borensztein (born 22 May 1947) is an American photographer whose work reflects long-term and in-depth projects. His areas of focus are in psychological portraiture and documentary. Borensztein has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and his work is included in various public collections. His published books ''Metamorphosis'' (1977, with John MacGregor), ''One is Adam, One is Superman'' (2004) and ''American Portraits'' (2011) document salient moments in the lives of his subjects, and ''Sharon'' (2016) documents every stage of the life of his severely disabled daughter. Life and work Borensztein was born in Poland. He received a BA in creative art and geography from the University of Haifa, Israel in 1974. Mauricio Borensztein
Mauricio Borensztein (27 April 1927 – 11 January 1996), known by the stage name ''Tato Bores'', was an Argentine film, theatre and television comedian, who specialized in political humor. His ironic TV monologues, delivered at a fast pace, became a reference point for generations of Argentines. Biography He was born into a family of Polish Jewish heritage. He took his first steps into the humor field in 1957, after the fall of Juan Perón, debuting in state-owned Channel 7. When in character, he wore dress coat, white bow tie and a deliberately badly cut wig, and waved a cigar. Besides the monologues, at some point during each show he pretended to dial the number of the Casa Rosada and speak to the President (whoever it was at the time), asking pointed questions or commenting on uncomfortable news.
