''Border Life'' is an ITV magazine programme serving the south of Scotland. Overview Typically broadcast most weeks on ITV Border Scotland on Fridays at 19:00, it opts out of the national ''ITV Evening News''. The programme features topical stories and features from Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders. ITV1
ITV1 (formerly known as ITV) is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the British media company ITV plc. It provides the Channel 3 public broadcast service across all of the United Kingdom except for the central and northern areas of Scotland where STV provides the service. ITV1 as a consistent national channel (with dedicated slots for regional news and other regional programmes) evolved out of the old ITV network – a federation of separately owned regional companies which had significantly different local schedules and branding. Carlisle
Carlisle ( , ; from xcb, Caer Luel) is a city that lies within the Northern England, Northern English county of Cumbria, south of the Anglo-Scottish border, Scottish border at the confluence of the rivers River Eden, Cumbria, Eden, River Caldew, Caldew and River Petteril, Petteril. Career Baker’s ITV career began in June 2005 as a trainee journalist at ''ITV News London'' (ITN). ITV Tyne Tees & Border is the producer of regional programming for the ITV Tyne Tees and ITV Border franchises. Between 2009 and 2013, the two regions were merged into a single region (although still with two franchises).
