Borbysts
Borbysts ( uk, Борьбисти) a brief name for the Ukrainian Party of the Left Socialist Revolutionaries (UPLSR). The exact date of establishment of the party is unknown, while its main newspaper "Trudovaya mysl" declared for its appearance for the first time in February–March 1918. Unlike Borotbists, the Ukrainian Party of the Left Socialist Revolutionaries was created out of its Russian counterpart the Left SRs long after the revolution and after the occupation of Ukraine by the Russian Red Guards forces. The Borotbists (Fighters) (1918–1920) was a left-nationalist political party in Ukraine. It is not be associated with its Russian affiliated counterparts - the Ukrainian Party of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries (Borbysts) and the Ukrainian Communist Party (Ukapists). It arose in May 1918 after the split in the Ukrainian Socialist-Revolutionary Party on the basis of supporting Soviet regime in Ukraine. The Borotbists are often associated with the Russian party of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries who in Ukraine also called themselves ''borotbists''. Yevhen Petrovych Terletskyi ( uk, Євген Петрович Терлецький) was a Ukrainian and Soviet politician, member of the Russian Constituent Assembly, People Commissar (narkom) of Justice, diplomat. Terletskyi was born in a village of Lozovyi Yar (near Yahotyn) in a family of priest. He graduated Poltava Theological Seminary and later studied at a recently established Petrograd Psychoneurological Institute. In 1911 Terletskyi joined the Socialist Revolutionary Party. He was an active participant of revolutionary events of 1917 as a member of the Petrograd Soviet and a chairman of the Poltava soviet as a member of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries. Terletskyi was elected to the Russian Constituent Assembly from Poltava Governorate as a member of the Ukrainian Party of Socialist Revolutionaries. The Party of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries (russian: Партия левых социалистов-революционеров-интернационалистов) was a revolutionary socialist political party formed during the Russian Revolution. In 1917, the Socialist Revolutionary Party split between those who supported the Russian Provisional Government, established after the February Revolution and those who supported the Bolsheviks, who favoured the overthrow of the Provisional Government and the placing of political power in the hands of the Congress of Soviets. Those that continued to support the Provisional Government became known as the Right SRs while those who aligned with the Bolsheviks became known as the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries or Left SRs.
