Booth, Texas
Booth is a small unincorporated community in Fort Bend County, Texas, United States. It is located along Farm to Market Road 2759 and the BNSF Railway southeast of Richmond, Texas. There are number of houses, an RV-park, a restaurant, a landscaping business and a historical marker in the area. Geography The BNSF Railway tracks run parallel to and south of FM 2759 through the area. Both railroad and highway come into Booth from the west-northwest. They curve slightly and leave Booth heading southeast. An historical marker is at the corner of FM 2759 and Agnes Road. The Old Trading Post restaurant is nearby. Agnes Road continues north-northeast to the Riverbend RV Park; beyond that point it becomes a one-lane trail and dead ends before reaching the Brazos River. Hospital is a district of the San José canton, in the San José province of Costa Rica. It is one of the four administrative units that form San José downtown properly. The district houses, along with Merced district, the main commercial activity of the city, and is the most populous of the four central districts. Old Three Hundred
The "Old Three Hundred" were 297 grantees who purchased 307 parcels of land from Stephen Fuller Austin in Mexican Texas. Each grantee was head of a household, or, in some cases, a partnership of married men. Austin was an American approved in 1822 by Mexico as an empresario for this effort, after the nation had gained independence from Spain. By 1825 the colony had a population of 1,790, including 443 enslaved African Americans. Because the Americans believed they needed enslaved workers, Austin negotiated with the Mexican government to gain approval, as the new nation was opposed to slavery. Mexico abolished it in 1837. The colony encompassed an area that ran from the Gulf of Mexico on the south, to near present-day Jones Creek in Brazoria County, Brenham in Washington County, Navasota in Grimes County, and La Grange in Fayette County.
