Carl Boos
Georg Christian Carl Boos, also Karl Boos, (8 September 1806, in Weilburg – 18 July 1883, in Wiesbaden) was a German architect and court architect. Biography Boos was born in 1806 the son of Johann Andreas Boos in Weilburg. He attended the Phillipinum, the Gymnasium (Germany), Gymnasium of his hometown. Then he studied in Karlsruhe with the court architect of Baden, Friedrich Weinbrenner. From 1825 he studied in Freiburg im Breisgau, in statics, mechanics, chemistry, mineralogy and geology. In 1829 he joined the faculty of the Heidelberg University. In 1835 he moved to Wiesbaden, where he lived until his death. He worked for the Nassau (state), State of Nassau. In 1838 he presented a draft for the Ministerialgebäude in the Luisenstraße. This Nassau government building was designed in neo-Renaissance style and houses the Hessian Ministry of Justice now. Georgy Valentinovich Boos (russian: link=no, Георгий Валентинович Боос, born 22 January 1963) is a Russian businessman and politician who served as governor of Kaliningrad Oblast from 2005 to 2010. Early life and education Boos was born in Moscow into a Crimean German family on 22 January 1963. His parents were both engineers.He graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1986 with an engineering degree. In 1995 he received a Technical Sciences Ph.D. His thesis was titled "Improving the efficiency of outdoor lighting installations of cities streets and squares". Career Boos performed his military service in the Soviet Air Force between 1986 and 1988 based at Spassk-Dalny. Martin Boos (25 December 176229 August 1825) was a German Roman Catholic theologian. Life He was born at Huttenried in Bavaria. Orphaned at the age of four, he was reared by an uncle at Augsburg, who finally sent him to the University of Dillingen, where he studied under Sailer, Zimmer, and Weber. There he laid the foundation of the modest piety by which his whole life was distinguished. This cites his ''Life'' by J. Gossner (1831). He had followed the extreme practices of asceticism as a penance for sin, all to no avail, as he believed, and then developed a doctrine of salvation by faith which came very near to pure Lutheranism. This he preached with great effect. After serving as priest in several Bavarian towns, he was driven from Bavaria by the opposition of the ecclesiastical authorities and other priests. Tino Boos (born April 10, 1975 in Düsseldorf, West Germany) is a former German professional ice hockey player. He most recently played with the Düsseldorfer EG of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Boos began his career with the Düsseldorfer EG in 1992/93, becoming German champion in the first year. In 1994, he then switched to the Kassel Huskies, because he did not get enough playing time in Düsseldorf. At the 1993 Under-18 European and the 1995 Junior World championship, however, he was one of the most important players for Germany. In 2000, he left Kassel and joined the Kölner Haie in Cologne. He has been the assistant captain for the ''Sharks'' since 2000. Boos after the 06-07 season, was thinking about a move to an NHL team.
