Boon Lake Township is a township in Renville County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 400 at the 2000 census. History Boon Lake Township was organized in 1870, and named after Boon Lake. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which is land and (4.85%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 400 people, 151 households, and 115 families residing in the township. The population density was 10.7 people per square mile (4.1/km2). There were 174 housing units at an average density of 4.7/sq mi (1.8/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 97.50% White, 1.50% Asian, 0.75% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races.
