''Book of Thugs: Chapter A.K., Verse 47'' is the third studio album by American rapper Trick Daddy. It was released on February 15, 2000 via Slip-N-Slide/ Atlantic Records. Recording sessions took place at 4 Star Recording Studio. Production was handled by Righteous Funk Boogie, Black Mob Group, DJ Spin, and The Committee, with Ted Lucas serving as executive producer. It features guest appearances from the Lost Tribe, Money Mark Diggla, Buddy Roe, JoVaughn "J.V." Clark, C.O., Duece Poppito, Izm, Mystikal, Society, Trina and Twista. The album peaked at number 26 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on May 10, 2000 for sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States. Maurice Samuel Young (born September 27, 1974), better known by his stage name Trick Daddy, is an American rapper from Miami's Liberty City (Miami), Liberty City. Early life Trick Daddy was born on September 27, 1974, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. His mother, Pearl Brockington of South Carolina, raised him and his 10 brothers and sisters in the Liberty Square (Miami), Liberty Square apartment complex in Liberty City (Miami), Liberty City after relocating from Goulds, Florida. The building where he grew up was colloquially known as "Pork-N-Beans" in reference to the color of the apartment doors. His father, Charles Young, was a local pimp; while Trick was a teenager, Charles Young took him and his brother Derek "Hollywood" Harris to live with him. While Trick and Hollywood lived with Trick’s father, they began to deal crack cocaine on the streets. At 15 years old, Young was arrested for drug and firearm possession.
