The Walt Disney Company, commonly referred to as simply Disney, is an American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios complex in Burbank, California. Disney was founded on October 16, 1923, as an animation studio, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Oliver Disney as Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio; it later operated under the names Walt Disney Studio and Walt Disney Productions before adopting its current name in 1986. In 1928, Disney established itself as a leader in the animation industry with the short film ''Steamboat Willie.'' After becoming a success by the early 1940s, Disney diversified into live-action films, television, and theme parks in the 1950s. Heffalumps
A Heffalump is an elephant-like creature in the Winnie-the-Pooh stories by A. A. Milne. Heffalumps are mentioned, and only appear, in Pooh and Piglet's dreams in ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' (1926), and are seen again in ''The House at Pooh Corner'' (1928). Physically, they resemble elephants; E. H. Shepard's illustration shows an Indian elephant. They are later featured in the animated television series ''The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh'' (1988–1991), followed by two animated films in 2005, ''Pooh's Heffalump Movie'' and ''Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie''. Origins Although the fifth chapter of ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' is titled "In Which Piglet Meets a Heffalump", Piglet only actually meets a Heffalump in his imagination. In this chapter, Pooh and Piglet bravely attempt to capture a heffalump in a clever trap; however, no heffalumps are ever caught, and indeed they never meet a heffalump in the course of the books. The sole appearance of heffalumps in the books is imagined, as Poo ...

Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie
''Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie'' (also known as ''Pooh's Heffalump Halloween: The Movie'') is a 2005 American animated direct-to-video Halloween fantasy adventure comedy-drama film produced by Disneytoon Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, featuring the characters from Disney's '' Winnie the Pooh'' franchise, based on the original characters from the books by A. A. Milne. The sequel to '' Pooh's Heffalump Movie'', this was the final ''Winnie the Pooh'' film to be produced by Disneytoon Studios. The film marked voice actor John Fiedler's final appearance as Piglet, as he died before completing his voice work (two and a half months before the film's release). Upon Fiedler's death, Travis Oates was brought in to finish the remaining scenes (and received credit for "additional voices") and became Piglet's new official voice actor. It was followed in the ''Winnie the Pooh'' film series by a television film produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and Polygon ...

Gopher (Winnie The Pooh)
Gopher is a fictional anthropomorphic gopher character who first appeared in the 1966 Disney animated film ''Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree''. He has a habit of whistling out his sibilant consonants, one of various traits he has in common with the beaver in ''Lady and the Tramp'', by whom he may have been inspired. Character Creation Gopher was the only character in the original shorts that was an original character and not based on a character from the A.A. Milne books, a fact he notes in his first appearance when he says "I'm not in the book, you know?!" Instead, he was initially developed by Disney as a replacement for Piglet, although it was ultimately decided to keep Piglet involved in the stories as well as use Gopher. Apparently, the proposed character of Gopher was thought to have a more "folksy, all-American, grass-roots image" than Piglet. While American audiences loved the character, British audiences were less pleased. Like most ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' character ...

Eeyore
Eeyore ( ) is a fictional character in the ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' books by A. A. Milne. He is an old, grey stuffed donkey and friend of the title character, Winnie-the-Pooh. Eeyore is generally characterised as pessimistic, depressed, and anhedonic. A. A. Milne books Eeyore appears in chapters 4, 6, 7, and 10 of ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' and is mentioned in a few others. He also appears in every chapter of ''The House at Pooh Corner'' except chapter 7. His name is an onomatopoeic representation of the braying sound made by a normal donkey, usually represented as "hee haw" in American English: the spelling with an "r" is explained by the fact that Milne and most of his intended audience spoke a non-rhotic variety of English in which the "r" in "Eeyore" is not pronounced as /r/. Physically, Eeyore is described as an "old grey donkey". In Ernest H. Shepard's illustrations, he appears to be about chin-high to Pooh and about hip-high to Christopher Robin. He has a long, detachable ...
