Ivanoe Bonomi
Ivanoe Bonomi (18 October 1873 – 20 April 1951) was an Italian politician and journalist who served as Prime Minister of Italy from 1921 to 1922 and again from 1944 to 1945. Background and earlier career Ivanoe Bonomi was born in Mantua, Italy, in a bourgeois family. He studied natural sciences at the University of Bologna and graduated in 1896. After working for two years as a high school teacher he also completed a law degree in the same university. In 1893, influenced by the burgeoning cooperative movement, the spread of Marxist propaganda in the Mantuan countryside, and meetings with socialist leaders like Filippo Turati, Leonida Bissolati, and Anna Kuliscioff, he joined the Italian Socialist Party (at the time called Italian Socialist Workers' Party). The Royal Italian Army ( it, Regio Esercito, , Royal Army) was the land force of the Kingdom of Italy, established with the proclamation of the Kingdom of Italy. During the 19th century Italy started to unify into one country, and in 1861 Manfredo Fanti signed a decree creating the Army of the Two Sicilies. This newly created army's first task was to defend against the repressive power in southern Italy. The Army of the Two Sicilies combated against criminals and other armies during this time of unification. Raffaele de Courten (Milan, 23 September 1888 – Frascati, 23 August 1978) was an Italian admiral. He was the last Chief of Staff of the Regia Marina. Life Raffaele de Courten was born in Milan in 1888. He joined the Naval Academy of Leghorn in 1906 and graduated in 1910. He served on the battleships ''Vittorio Emanuele'' and ''Benedetto Brin'', before joining the naval air arm just before World War I. In May 1915, during a bombardment of Pula onboard the airship ''Città di Jesi'', he was captured when the airship was shot down and remained prisoner of the Austro-Hungarian Army till June 1917. Marcello Soleri
Marcello Soleri (28 April 1882 – 22 July 1945) was an Italian politician and an officer of the prestigious Alpini infantry corps. He is widely viewed as one of the leading exponents of political liberalism in twentieth century Italy. Soleri was a Member of Parliament between 1913 and 1929. Antonio Mario Pesenti (5 October 1910 – 14 February 1973) was an Italian economist and politician of the Italian Communist Party. Biography Early life Pesenti studied law in Pavia and later joined the underground anti-fascist movement.
