Bonn Tram Depot
The former City of Bonn tram depot (''Straßenbahndepot der Stadt Bonn'') stands at Graurheindorfer Straße 157 in Bonn's constituent community of Bonn-Castell. For its time, it is an important example of industrial Art Nouveau architecture, is Cultural heritage management, legally protected and since 2000 has been used as an office building. Housed in the old tram depot is the ''Pädagogischer Austauschdienst'', a section of the ''Kultusministerkonferenz'' secretariat that took up residence there in 2010. History In 1905, the City of Bonn had the tram depot (''Wagenhalle'') built, along with a "director's villa" and a carriage shed consisting of a Janitor, caretaker's building and two Animal stall, horse stalls, to plans from the underground construction office; the chosen site was on the street that was then known as Rheindorfer Straße.
