Bonedriven
"Bonedriven" is a song by the British rock band Bush, released on 16 April 1997. It is the third single from the band's second album ''Razorblade Suitcase'' (1996). It followed the band's hit singles "Swallowed" and " Greedy Fly." "Bonedriven" and " Cold Contagious" are the only Bush singles from 1994–1999 not to be included on the band's 2005 greatest hits compilation, ''The Best of '94–'99'', apparently excluded in favor of two additional tracks from the band's remix album '' Deconstructed'' that were not released as singles. Details Lyrics and themes Gavin Rossdale commented in 1999 that "Bonedriven" was themed around the band themselves. ''Razorblade Suitcase'' is the second studio album by English rock band Bush, released on 19 November 1996 by Trauma and Interscope Records. The follow-up to their 1994 debut ''Sixteen Stone'', it was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with engineer and producer Steve Albini. Its sound is more raw than that of its predecessor and has frequently been compared to Nirvana's ''In Utero'' (1993), which was also produced and engineered by Albini. The album is widely considered to be the last "grunge" sounding album of the 1990s. ''Razorblade Suitcase'' debuted at number one on the US ''Billboard'' 200, selling 293,000 copies in its first week of sales in the United States. To date, it remains the only Bush album to top the ''Billboard'' 200. Deconstructed (Bush Album)
''Deconstructed'' is a remix album by British band Bush, released on 11 November 1997, through Trauma Records. It did not feature any new material but was a collaborative effort between the band and various producers working in the electronic genre of music to remix some of the band's previously released songs. " Mouth (The Stingray Mix)" was released as a single in 1997 and became a minor hit, due largely in part to it being featured prominently in both the trailer and the 1997 film ''An American Werewolf in Paris''. Three tracks from this album, "Mouth (The Stingray Mix)", " Everything Zen (The Lhasa Fever Mix)", and " Swallowed (The Goldie/Both Sides Toasted Please Mix)" also appear on Bush's 2005 greatest hits compilation, ''The Best of '94–'99''. Cold Contagious
"Cold Contagious" is the fourth and final single from the band Bush's second studio album, ''Razorblade Suitcase'' (1996). Along with "Bonedriven", "Cold Contagious" is the only Bush single from 1994-1999 not to be included on the band's 2005 greatest hits compilation, ''The Best of '94–'99''. Style and lyrics "Cold Contagious" features a sharp distorted sound and a heavy, dark drumbeat. The lyrics seem to be about a relationship breaking up, accompanied by a desire for revenge. "Cold Contagious" is unusually long among Bush songs—at about six minutes, it is the longest track Bush ever released, except for the song "Distant Voices," also on ''Razorblade Suitcase'', and "Alien" on ''Sixteen Stone'', which is the same length musically but has about thirty seconds of silence at the end. "Greedy Fly" is a song by alternative rock band Bush, released on 28 January 1997 as the second single from their second studio album, ''Razorblade Suitcase'' (1996). Music video Bush were one of the early pioneers of the enhanced CD single, with the full video being available as a file on CD 2. The video was directed by Marcus Nispel in December 1996 in Los Angeles. The video was shot in the same building '' Se7en'' was shot in and cost nearly half a million pounds. Commercial performance "Greedy Fly" was released as the second single from the album, after "Swallowed". The song became a hit, possibly due to its well-known music video, which clocks in at over 7 minutes (although the song itself is only 4:29 long). The song reached the top 5 on both the US Alternative Songs chart and Mainstream Rock Tracks. Bush are an English rock band formed in London, England in 1992. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gavin Rossdale, lead guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes. "Letting the Cables Sleep" is the second single from British band Bush's third studio album '' The Science of Things'', which was released in 1999. In an interview, Gavin Rossdale revealed that the song was written for a friend who had contracted HIV. The song became a minor hit, and pushed the album to platinum status. "Everything Zen" is a single by British grunge band Bush. Released on 28 January 1995, it was the band's first single released under the name "Bush", and their second overall. The single comes from their 1994 debut album, ''Sixteen Stone''. Lyrics The title of the song may reference the poem Howl by Allen Ginsberg which includes the phrase "who vanished into nowhere Zen New Jersey." The lyrics "Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow" are taken from David Bowie's 1971 song "Life on Mars?".
