Bolærne
Bolærne is an archipelago in the outer part of Oslofjord, in the municipality Nøtterøy in Vestfold, Norway. The islands have a total land area of 2.6 km². The largest island, Mellom Bolæren, covers 1.1 km². The easternmost island is Østre Bolæren. The islands have been inhabited by fishermen from the 16th century. There was a coastal fortress from 1916 to 2002. Østre Bolæren
Østre Bolæren (English: Eastern Bolærne), also known as Østre Bolærne is the easternmost of the three largest islands in the archipelago Bolærne outside Nøtterøy in Færder municipality, Vestfold County, Norway. The island has an area of about 0.59 km2. The highest point on Østre Bolæren is above sea level. Overview 90% of the island is owned by a coalition of the Vestfold County municipality, and 10% is owned by the municipality of Færder. It has a veritable coastal pine forest and formed its own nature reserve until it became part of the newly established Færder National Park in 2013. Vestfold county municipality bought the island in 2004, and has built the island military advocacy into an activity center with lodging facilities, restaurant and kiosk. Færder National Park
Færder National Park ( no, Færder nasjonalpark) is a national park in Nøtterøy and Tjøme in Vestfold, Norway. It is mostly a marine park, and includes some islands and coastal areas. To the east, the national park borders to the Ytre Hvaler National Park. Færder covers an area of , of which is sea and is land. The park was established on 23 August 2013. Oslofjord
The Oslofjord (, ; en, Oslo Fjord) is an inlet in the south-east of Norway, stretching from an imaginary line between the and lighthouses and down to in the south to Oslo in the north. It is part of the Skagerrak strait, connecting the North Sea and the Kattegat sea area, which leads to the Baltic Sea. The Oslofjord is not a fjord in the geological sense — in Norwegian the term can refer to a wide range of waterways. Nøtterøy
Nøtterøy is an island and a former municipality in the present-day municipality of Færder in Vestfold and Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Borgheim. The parish of ''Nøtterø'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Two islands were later transferred from the municipality of Stokke to Nøtterøy: Håøya (in 1901) and Veierland (in 1964). The whole municipality was made up of a small island group south of Tønsberg municipality, including the islands of Nøtterøy, Føynland, Veierland, and about 175 smaller islands. Nøtterøy includes the villages of Borgheim, Glomstein, Teie, and Torød. As 2010, 16,418 of the municipality lived within the town of Tønsberg, an urban area shared between the two municipalities. Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Vestfold was the only county in which all municipalities had declared Bokmål to be their sole official written form of the Norwegian language.
