Bollmora Centre
Bollmora is the central district and municipal seat of Tyresö Municipality in Sweden. Together with major parts of the other two main districts of Tyresö, Trollbäcken and Gamla Tyresö, Bollmora forms a conurbation with Stockholm. Bollmora derives its name from Bollmora farm (''Bollmora gård'') which was located near current day Njupkärrsvägen–Industrivägen intersection. Up until the 1950s Bollmora was a village, but in conjunction to the large migration to Stockholm in 1950s and 1960s, Bollmora expanded. The large expansion was made possible by Lex Bollmora from 1959, a legislation that made possible for municipal real estate companies to operate in other municipalities than their own. The municipal real estate companies of Stockholm started immediately constructing in Bollmora after the legislation came into effect. Tyresö Municipality
Tyresö Municipality (''Tyresö kommun'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Most of Tyresö Municipality lies within the Stockholm urban area. History The first humans arrived in what today is Tyresö Municipality somewhere around the 3rd millennium BC. It would not be until about the 7th century that permanent settlements would start appearing though. There are some graves and other remnants left from this prehistoric time. The Tyresö estate has its origins in the 14th century. During the 17th century the estate was at its largest, covering nearly the entire current area of the municipality. The Tyresö Palace and Tyresö Church were built during this century, with the palace completed in 1636 and the church in 1640. Gamla Tyresö
Gamla Tyresö (meaning ''Old Tyresö'') is a district of Tyresö Municipality in Sweden. It consists of the eastern half of the municipality, containing the Tyresö Strand and Raksta areas, the long Brevik peninsula, and the vast forest in the south. Gamla Tyresö contains almost exclusively detached houses and summer cottages. The Tyresö Strand area has since mid-1990s been built with a higher density with tightly packed detached, semi-detached and terraced houses. There is a small amount of apartment buildings and commercial establishments around Strandtorget. Tyresö Palace and Tyresö Church from 17th century are located in Gamla Tyresö as well. Conurbation
A conurbation is a region comprising a number of metropolises, cities, large towns, and other urban areas which through population growth and physical expansion, have merged to form one continuous urban or industrially developed area. Million Programme
The Million Programme ( sv, Miljonprogrammet) was an ambitious public housing program implemented in Sweden between 1965 and 1974 by the governing Swedish Social Democratic Party to ensure the availability of affordable, high quality housing to all Swedish citizens. The program sought to construct one million new housing dwellings over a ten-year period, which it accomplished. As part of its intention to modernize Swedish housing, it also demolished many older buildings that national and local governments considered obsolescent, unhealthy or derelict. At the time, the intention to build one million new homes in a nation with a population of eight million made the Million Programme the most ambitious building programme in the world. Barnsjön (Swedish for "the Child Lake") is a small lake within the Tyresån Lake System in Tyresö Municipality south of Stockholm, Sweden.
