Christopher Bollen (born November 26, 1975) is an American novelist and magazine writer/editor who lives in New York City. Describing his novels, ''The Daily Telegraph'' notes that "Bollen writes expansive, psychologically probing novels in the manner of Updike, Eugenides and Franzen, but he is also an avowed disciple of Agatha Christie." Early life Bollen grew up in Cincinnati, where he graduated from St. Xavier High School. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University in 1998. Career Bollen was the editor-in-chief of ''Interview'' from early 2008 to mid-2009, after serving as editor-in-chief of '' V''. After stepping down as editor-in-chief, he continued on as editor-at-large of ''Interview''. On May 21, 2018, the publication ceased operations completely after nearly 50 years. Clemens Bollen (born 12 February 1948 in Langholt, Leer) is a German politician and member of the SPD. Early life After graduating from secondary school in 1965, Bollen trained as an industrial clerk until 1968. He then worked as an employee in human resources at the Olympia-Werke in Leer until 1979. Dr George Bollen (12 April 1826 – 22 September 1892) was a homeopathic doctor in the colony of South Australia, a prominent citizen of Mount Barker and Port Adelaide, philanthropist and teetotaller. History Bollen was born in Brighton, Sussex, and emigrated to South Australia in 1854, arriving aboard the ship ''Albermarle'' in November, and in 1855 settled at Mount Barker, working as a cooper. He later practiced homeopathic medicine, there being at that time no restriction on who might call himself "doctor" or treat patients. He left for America in 1872, in order to gain medical qualifications from Hahnemann College of Chicago, in which he was successful, gaining the degree of Bachelor of Medicine. He presently works as associate professor at the Indiana University School of Informatics of Indiana University Bloomington and a fellow at the SparcS Institute of Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands.
