Pekinška Patka (Serbian Cyrillic: Пекиншка Патка; trans. ''Peking Duck'') is an eminent Serbian and former Yugoslav punk rock band from Novi Sad. Their debut album, ''Plitka poezija'', released in 1980, is considered the first punk rock album by a band coming from Serbia. Being one of the first punk acts in Yugoslavia, they played a major role in opening doors for many bands that came after. On their second and final album, '' Strah od monotonije'', released in 1981, they turned towards post-punk and darkwave sound, disbanding during the same year. In 2008, the band reunited to perform on the main stage of Exit Festival alongside Sex Pistols, and in 2010, they reunited once again, continuing their activity. Jugoton was the largest record label and chain record store in the former Yugoslavia based in Zagreb, SR Croatia. History Jugoton was formed in 1947. ''Svi marš na ples!'' (meaning in Serbo-Croatian language: Everybody dance now!) is a compilation album released by Jugoton in 1981 in SFR Yugoslavia. The compilation features various pop and rock artists, mostly from the local new wave scene. At the time of their appearance on this compilation, all of the tracks have already been released on their respective bands' studio albums by the same label. Additionally, all of the bands that appear on it already achieved considerable notability and prominence. Therefore, unlike some previous Jugoton's various artists compilations that tried to affirm and highlight different up-and-coming groups, this one had a strictly commercial character. The compilation's title is a line from the chorus of the ska song "Ha, ha, ha" by Bijelo dugme from their album '' Doživjeti stotu''. Atheist Rap is a Serbian punk rock band from Novi Sad, formed in 1989, which has released six studio albums, one compilation album and one live DVD. Their music is often characterized as "fun punk" due to its cheerful music and vocals. Their lyrics are usually critical of society and politics and are often humorous accounts of everyday events. History 1980s The idea of forming Atheist Rap came to vocalists Aleksandar Popov (also known as Dr. Pop) and Vladimir Kozbašić (also known as Pećinko) at the Rambo Amadeus concert, which took place on 29 November 1988, at the local club Mašinac.
