Bolivian Olympic Committee
The Bolivian Olympic Committee (:es:Comité Olímpico Boliviano, Comité Olímpico Boliviano - COB) is the National Olympic Committee representing Bolivia in the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO), the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR). It was created 1932 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee, IOC in 1936. It is based in La Paz, Bolivia. Member federations The Bolivian National Federations are the organizations that coordinate all aspects of their individual sports. They are responsible for training, competition and development of their sports. There are currently 19 Olympic Summer and one Winter Sport Federations in Bolivia. Jeff Tarango
Jeffrey Gail Tarango (born November 20, 1968) is a retired American tennis player. He was a top-ten doubles player and a runner-up at the 1999 French Open men's doubles tournament. He is now the Director of Tennis at the Jack Kramer Club, which is just south of Los Angeles. In 2018, he was the tournament director of a $30,000 men's California championships. At that championships, ATP world-ranked No. 11, Sam Querrey, beat Davis Cup captain Mardy Fish to win this event. Tarango now resides in Manhattan Beach, California with his wife and children. He is married to Jessica Balgrosky and they have five children (Nina Rose, Katherine, Jackson, Ace, and Jesse). Russia's Yevgeny Kafelnikov defeated Germany's Tommy Haas in the final, 7–6(7–4), 3–6, 6–2, 4–6, 6–3 to win the gold medal in Men's Singles tennis at the 2000 Summer Olympics. In the bronze medal match, France's Arnaud Di Pasquale defeated Switzerland's Roger Federer, 7–6(7–5), 6–7(7–9), 6–3. It was Russia's first medal in the event as an independent country (though Russian player Andrei Cherkasov had taken bronze as part of the Unified Team in 1992). Diego Camacho (born May 21, 1983) is a tennis player from Bolivia, who represented his native country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. There he was defeated in the first round by America's Jeff Tarango. Camacho reached his highest singles ATP-ranking on March 19, 2001, when he became the number 954 of the world. Camacho played collegiate tennis for the University of Tulsa. Camacho played for the Bolivian Davis Cup team from 2001 to 2008, posting a 4–5 record in singles and a 5–5 record in doubles. As of late 2007, Camacho has been working at a Fitness Center in Joplin, Missouri.
