Boku No Taiyō
is Japanese idol group AKB48's seventh single, and the fifth major single released through DefSTAR Records, on August 8, 2007. Promotion "Boku no Taiyō" was also the title of a series of stage performances from July 1, 2007 by , an inter-group unit, as well as the signature song within its performances. "Boku no Taiyō" was released only 3 weeks after "Bingo!"'s release, video clip was filmed by Masaki Takehisa, the same director who filmed Morning Musume.'s video clip. "Boku no Taiyō" was selected as the second opening theme song of anime adaptation of the series Deltora Quest, broadcast through TV Aichi and TXN, includes TV Tokyo. The B-side song, , was also used as the theme song for KBC Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting's , and they performed at a live concert event in Fukuoka, as a part of KBC's events. AKB48
AKB48 (pronounced ''A.K.B. Forty-Eight'') is a Japanese idol girl group named after the Akihabara (''Akiba'' for short) area in Tokyo, where the group's theater is located. AKB48's producer, Yasushi Akimoto, wanted to form a girl group with its own theater and performing daily so fans could always see them live (which is not the case with usual pop groups giving occasional concerts and seen on television). This "idols you can meet" concept includes teams which can rotate performances and perform simultaneously at several events and "handshake" events, where fans can meet group members. Yuko Oshima
is a Japanese actress and former member of Japanese idol girl group AKB48, of which she was the captain of Team K. She was also a member of the AKB48 subunit Not Yet. Erena Ono
, is a former member of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48. She was in "Team K" and her talent agency was Ohta Production. She was also part of AKB48 subgroups "Honegumi from AKB48", "AKBIdoling !! Sae Miyazawa
is a Japanese actress, television personality and former singer, signed under the entertainment agency Horipro. Mariko Shinoda
is a Japanese singer, actress, fashion model, and former member of the Japanese idol group AKB48, in which she was the captain of Team A. Career In October 2005, she auditioned for AKB48's first generation roster but failed the audition. Shortly after her audition, Shinoda began working AKB48's theater café – then known as Akihabara 48 – as a café attendant serving customers and handing out promotional flyers on the street.
