Bohdan Lohvynenko
Bohdan Lohvynenko ( uk, Богдан Логвиненко, translit= ; born 23 October 1988) is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, TV presenter, literary critic, editor, public figure. Bohdan Lohvynenko was born on October 22, 1988, in Kyiv. He studied Chemistry in Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and at the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv University of Theater, Film and Television. In 2005 he founded the online magazine , and was its editor-in-chief until 2011. Since 2006, Bohdan Lohvynenko has been actively opposed to the closure of the Syaivo bookstore in Kyiv and the arbitrariness of Mayor Chernovetsky. In February-September 2007, Lohvynenko worked for Gazeta Po-Ukrainski. Member of the jury "Books of the Forum – 2007". In 2007, he received the Cultural Leader Award for the prompt coverage of cultural events. The following year, Bohdan Lohvynenko entered the jury of this competition. Dead Rooster
Dead Rooster or Mertvy Piven ( uk, Мертвий Півень) was a Ukrainian rock band that was formed by Lyubomyr Futorsky in 1989. The first concert was given in 1990 at the first Vyvykh festival. Their debut album ''Eto'' was recorded in 1991, at the end of the Chervona Ruta festival ( Chervona Ruta), where the group took first prize in the category of performers art songs. Dead Rooster began as an acoustic band. During the second half of the 1990s, they evolved into a grunge/art-rock band, though their music can't be described by one particular style. Dead Rooster has changed personnel several times. Many songs of the band were written in lyrics of Ukrainian poets like Yuri Andrukhovych, Maksym Rylsky, Oleksandr Irvanets, Viktor Neborak, Yurko Pozayak, Serhiy Zhadan, Natalka Bilotserkivets, Ihor Kalynets and Taras Shevchenko. Bohdan Ihor Antonych
Bohdan Ihor Antonych ( uk, Богдан-Ігор Антонич; 5 October 1909, in Nowica, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Nowica – 6 July 1937, in Lviv) was a 20th-century Ukrainian poet. In 1934 Antonych received third prize honours from the Ivan Franko Society of Writers and Journalists for his work ''Three Signet Rings''. Biography Antonych was born and raised in the Lemkos, Lemko village of Nowica, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Nowica where his father, Vasyl, was a parish priest. In 1928 Antonych left Nowica to study at Lviv University, where he remained until he received his degree in Slavic studies in 1933. In order to help finance his chosen career of professional writer, he occasionally worked as an editor for journals such as ''Dazhboh'' and ''Karby''. Antonych died from pneumonia on 6 July 1937. Ukraїner
Ukraїner is an educational, multimedia Ukrainian studies project, the materials of which are based on the results of socio-cultural expeditions. Ukraїner was created by journalist and writer Bohdan Lohvynenko as a volunteer media project. The team went on the first expedition in June 2016. By the end of 2019, a collection of media materials was created, which are translated into nine languages, two books were published, a full-length documentary was made, project collaborated with the government to popularize initiatives directed to familiarize non-ukrainians with some of the aspects of Ukrainian culture, events were held in a number of European capitals with the support of Ukrainian diplomats.
