Body Language (band)
Body Language is an American electronic/alternative music group formed in 2008 in Hartford, Connecticut, consisting of Matthew Young, Grant Wheeler, Angelica Bess, and Ian Chang. History Body Language was originally formed by Young and Wheeler when they started making dance music and remixes for a weekly party they curated at a bar called Vegas Blvd in Hartford. Soon they began to incorporate vocals from Bess and the original trio was formed. Subsequently, they moved to the neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York. Around that time they released their first record on a sister label of Ghostly Records, Moodgadget Records, entitled ''Speaks''. In their first months in Brooklyn, Wheeler and Young worked on Passion Pit's second LP'' Manners''. Rubblebucket is an American art-pop and indie-rock band from Brooklyn, New York. The primary members are musical couple (now separated) Annakalmia Traver and Alex Toth. Formation Alex Toth (trumpet, band leader) and Kalmia Traver (vocals, saxophone) first met at the University of Vermont where they were both enrolled as music majors. Upon graduating in 2006, they began touring the United States as members of different projects. The band began performing primarily in the Northeast, in major cities and college towns, earning a reputation for their raucous energy. Toth had been developing a dance band that merges psychedelic indie rock, upbeat dance, and left field arrangements. The Hood Internet is an American record production duo based in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in mashups. It is composed of Aaron Brink (ABX) and Steve Reidell (STV SLV). History In 2007, the Hood Internet started posting the mashup tracks to their website. ''New York'' categorized the duo's mashup track of Chris Brown and A. C. Newman, titled "Drug Drug Kiss Kiss", in the "lowbrow" and "brilliant" quadrant of their Approval Matrix in 2007. The Hood Internet produced BBU's "Please, No Pictures", which was included in BBU's ''Bell Hooks'' mixtape in 2012. The duo entirely produced Max B and Isaiah Toothtaker's ''Toothy Wavy''. Mux Mool (born Brian Lindgren) is an American electronic musician, producer, and visual artist affiliated with the labels Moodgadget, Ghostly International, and Super Best Records. He has been featured on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, and is a member of Club Scouts, a musical partnership with Michal Menert. He currently resides in Denver, Colorado. Biography Mux Mool was born in Minnesota, and made his first electronic track in 1998. He attended The Perpich Center for Arts Education (Golden Valley, MN) from 2000-2001, where he studied visual arts. He made his commercial debut with the track "Lost and Found" in 2006. Released by Moodgadget on their Rorschach Suite compilation. Lindgren moved to Brooklyn in 2008 and released the ''Drum EP '' and ''Death 9000''. Vacationer is an American electropop and dream pop band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It is composed of Kenny Vasoli (lead singer/bass), Ryan Zimmaro (drums), Michael Mullin (keyboards/backing vocals), Greg Altman (guitar/backing vocals). Song writing is done primarily by Kenny Vasoli. History Vasoli expressed interest to Matt Watts, his manager and friend, about doing an electronic project after being inspired by LCD Soundsystem and other acts at the 2010 Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. Watts connected Vasoli to the band Body Language which had a studio based in the neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn called Landau Audio Design (LAD) .
