BODEGA is an American punk band from New York City, United States. History BODEGA's name comes from the name of a corner shop in New York City. They released their first full-length album in 2018, titled '' Endless Scroll''. The album was produced by Parquet Courts member Austin Brown and released through record label What's Your Rupture?. Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of punk music that emerged in the late 1970s as musicians departed from punk's traditional elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". The Wants are an American no wave band from New York City. History Madison Velding-VanDam and Jason Gates first met in the Brooklyn music scene in 2014 and formed The Wants in 2016. In 2018 and 2019 they began recording and touring, including in 2019 performing at SXSW, ahead of their first studio album, '' Container'', which came out on March 13, 2020. Parquet Courts
Parquet Courts is an American rock band from New York City. The band consists of Andrew Savage (vocals, guitar), Austin Brown (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Sean Yeaton (bass, vocals), and Max Savage (drums). History Band members Andrew Savage and Austin Brown met in Denton, Texas while both students at the University of North Texas, in a student club named Knights of the Round Turntable, where they listened to and shared new records. Andrew had a number of musical projects during college, including Teenage Cool Kids and Fergus & Geronimo. Andrew and brother Max Savage, Parquet Courts' drummer, were both born and raised in Denton.
