Bobsleigh At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Women's Monobob
The women's monobob competition in Bobsleigh at the 2022 Winter Olympics, bobsleigh at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 13 February (heats 1 and 2) and 14 February (heats 3 and 4), at the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track in Yanqing District of Beijing. This was the inaugural monobob competition at the Olympics. Kaillie Humphries of the United States won the event. She was the 2018 two-woman bobsleigh champion, but at that time she represented Canada. Elana Meyers Taylor, also of the United States, won the silver medal, and Christine de Bruin of Canada bronze, her first Olympic medal. In July 2018, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially added the women's monobob event to the program, increasing the total number of events to four. Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian (born August 29, 1985) is an American–Jamaican bobsledder who was one of three pilots of the U.S. Olympic Bobsled team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi before opting to compete for her father's native country of Jamaica from 2016. Fenlator grew up in Wayne, New Jersey and graduated from Wayne Valley High School. She graduated from Rider University with a bachelor's degree in multimedia communications and advertising. At Rider, she competed on the track and field team specializing in shot put, discus, and hammer. Upon graduating from Rider in 2007, Fenlator's track coach suggested she try a bobsled camp. After spending a few years as a brakeman, Fenlator decided to switch to the driver's seat. Early life Čerňanská was involved in sports as a child when her coach pushed her to try bobsleigh. She immediately became interested in this sport and began to devote herself to it. Nadezhda Viktorovna Sergeeva (russian: Надежда Викторовна Сергеева; born ) is a Russian bobsledder. Career Prior to bobsledding, she competed in track and field, specialising in the heptathlon.
