Bobby Wahengbam
Bobby Wahengbam (born 2 February 1971) is an Indian filmmaker, producer, writer and film critic known for his works in Manipuri films. He is the recipient of several accolades, including two National Film Awards. As a film critic, he contributed regularly for local and national newspapers for the last two decades, where some of his writings have been translated into other languages as well. Now, he regularly writes as a cinema critic for ''The People's Chronicle'', a local English daily, every Sunday for the last four years. Wahengbam is the founder of the production house ''Third Eye''. Under it, his film '' Apaiba Leichil'' was produced. All the documentaries under his production/direction are scripted by him. Cinema Of Manipur
The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. The Manipuri film industry was born when ''Matamgi Manipur'' was released on 9 April 1972. Before this, there were many attempts to make a film in the state, the most significant being ''Mainu Pemcha'' in 1948 which was left incomplete due to various problems. The tradition of documentary film making in Manipur was said to have been pioneered by the late Maharaj Kumar Priya Brata Singh who shot "actuality movies" with his 8 mm camera in 1936. 67th National Film Awards
The 67th National Film Awards were announced at a press meet on 22 March 2021 to honour the best Indian films certified in India between 1 January and 31 December 2019. The awards ceremony, at which the Directorate of Film Festivals presents its annual National Film Awards to honour the best in Indian cinema, was originally slated to be held on 3 May 2020. Meitei People
