''Northstar'' is an eponymous debut studio album by Californian hip hop duo Northstar. It was released in 2004 through Koch Records. Production was handled by Armand van Helden, Allah Mathematics, DR Period, Jose "Choco" Reynoso, Mix Jive Musick, and RZA, who also served as presenter and executive producer. It features guest appearances from fellow Wu-Tang Clan affiliates, such as Kinetic 9, Freemurder, Calvin Cooler, Shacronz, Midnight, Tonebone, Shoshot, 9th Prince, Kryme Life, Trife Da God, Suga Bang Bang, Solomon Childs and Doc Doom. Northstar is an American hip hop duo, composed of rappers Christ Bearer and Meko The Pharaoh, signed to Wu Tang Records by RZA. The group used to record with fellow Californian group Black Knights as Black Knights Of The North Star, and indeed the two groups were initially signed by RZA as such to Wu-Tang Records. The groups have since split into two separate units, and Northstar released their debut album in 2003, titled '' Bobby Digital Presents Northstar'', which also featured a reunion with Black Knights on the closing song "Black Knights Of The North Star". In 1999, the duo appeared on the soundtrack to the film '' Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai''. Their second album ''West Coast Killa Beez'' was released in 2005. A third album followed in 2008. Trife Diesel or Trife Da God (born Theo Bailey on July 11, 1980, in Stapleton, Staten Island, New York) is an affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan. He is a protégé and close associate of Ghostface Killah and is part of both of his protégé groups T.M.F. and Theodore Unit. Terrance Hamlin, better known as 9th Prince, is an American rapper and one of the founding members of rap group Killarmy. He was initially responsible for bringing the various members together, under the guide of his brother. He released his solo debut album ''Granddaddy Flow'' in 2003. He is the younger brother of RZA. He went by the alias Madman & Iron Fingers, especially in his early recordings. 9th Prince gets his name from the kung-fu movie '' Shaolin Prince''.
