Bobby Clark (juvenile Actor)
Robert Dwain Clark (November 13, 1944 – November 14, 2021) was an American child actor who worked under the name Bobby Clark. Career His longest lasting role was that of Casey Junior in the syndicated 1957-1958 television series, ''Casey Jones'', starring Alan Hale Jr., in the title role, with supporting cast members Mary Lawrence as Mrs. Jones, Dub Taylor as Fireman Wallie Sims, and Eddy Waller as "Red Rock", the train conductor. Clark appeared in the movies ''Invasion of the Body Snatchers'', ''Ransom!'', '' Gun Duel in Durango'', ''Rebel in Town'', ''The Happy Road'', ''Bring Your Smile Along'', and ''The Ten Commandments''. ''Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theatre'' is an American Western anthology television series that was broadcast on CBS from October 5, 1956, until September 20, 1962. Format Many episodes were based on novels by Zane Grey, to all of which Four Star Films held exclusive rights. Dick Powell was the host and the star of some episodes. Many of the guest stars made their TV debuts on the program. Powell said that working with Grey's stories proved to be both a benefit and a challenge. While he spoke of "the vast output of wonderful action stories from Zane Grey's pen", he acknowledged the challenge of "trying to compress a novel into half an hour of storytelling on television." Some stories could be adapted relatively easily, while others had to be skipped or only parts of them could be used for scripts. ''Front Row Center'' is an American variety show that aired on the DuMont Television Network Sundays at 7pm ET from March 25, 1949, to April 2, 1950. The show was originally 30 minutes then expanded to 60 minutes. This was one of several DuMont network programs to start as a local show on one of its affiliates. The premiere episode featured Marilyn Maxwell in her TV debut. On April 9, 1950, DuMont replaced this show with ''Starlit Time'' in the same time slot. ''Climax!'' (later known as ''Climax Mystery Theater'') is an American television anthology series that aired on CBS from 1954 to 1958. The series was hosted by William Lundigan and later co-hosted by Mary Costa. It was one of the few CBS programs of that era to be broadcast in color, using the massive TK-40A color cameras pioneered and manufactured by RCA, and used primarily by CBS' arch-rival network, NBC (the broadcasting division of RCA). Many of the episodes were performed and broadcast live, but, although the series was transmitted in color, only black-and-white ''kinescope'' copies of some episodes survive to the present day.
