Bobby Chen (pianist)
Bobby Chen is a Malaysian pianist. He has been praised by the ''Independent'', ''Guardian'', ''Irish Examiner'', and ''Straits Times'' newspapers and was described by ''International Piano Magazine'' as "an armour-clad player of complete technique, a thinking musician, a natural Romantic. Young bloods come no better". Chen has performed as soloist under conductors Mathias Bamert, Maximiliano Valdes, Lan Shui, Neville Marriner, Yehudi Menuhin, and Pierre-Andre Valade and concerti with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, London Sinfonietta, Warsaw Sinfonia, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. Bobby is the founder of Overseas Masters Winter Piano Academy (OMWPA), which established in December 2010. ''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. The Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is a performing arts centre in the Central Area of Singapore, situated along Empress Place. It is a complex of two buildings and a clock tower joined together by a common corridor; the oldest part of the building was first built in 1862, and the complex was completed in 1909. Purcell Room
The Purcell Room is a concert and performance venue which forms part of the Southbank Centre, one of central London's leading cultural complexes. It is named after the 17th century England, English composer Henry Purcell and has 370 seats. The Purcell Room has hosted a wide range of chamber music, jazz, mime artist, mime and poetry recitals. In the context of the Southbank Centre it is the smallest of a set of three venues, the other two being the Royal Festival Hall, a large symphony hall, and the QEH, which is used for orchestral, chamber and contemporary amplified music. The Purcell Room was built at the same time as the QEH, with which it shared a common foyer building and architectural features as an example of Brutalist architecture. Cadogan Hall is a 950-seat capacity concert hall in Sloane Terrace in Chelsea in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London, England. The resident music ensemble at Cadogan Hall is the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), the first London orchestra to have a permanent home.
