Bob Struble
Robert Struble (1899–1967) was a political figure and social welfare reformer in Washington (U.S. state), Washington from the post-World War II years until his death in Seattle, Washington, Seattle on July 26, 1967. Career From 1949 to 1953 Struble was chief assistant to Jack Taylor, Washington State Commissioner of Public Lands. He also pioneered welfare reform in Washington state during his years (1957–1967) with the non-disabled program (NDVR) within the state Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Under Struble's leadership, the NDVR program attracted national attention for its initiative in converting welfare from handouts to career retraining. Administratively, NDVR sought to apply the proverb about teaching people how to fish rather than merely giving fish to needy people. Isaac Struble
Isaac Sterling "Ike" Struble (November 3, 1843 – February 17, 1913) was an American politician who was a four-term Republican Representative of Iowa's 11th congressional district. Serving from 1883 to 1891, the Plymouth County resident was a noted congressional opponent of plural marriage in the Utah Territory. The member of a politically active family, Isaac's six brothers included John T. Struble of Iowa, and George R. Struble, former speaker of the Iowa House of Representatives. Max Joseph Krause (April 5, 1909 – July 11, 1984) was an American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. High school career Krause played high school football at Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, Washington, where he starred as an all-city running back and linebacker. He won 14 letters in four high school sports and in basketball he made the all-city second-team as a guard.
