I, or i, is the ninth letter and the third vowel letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is ''i'' (pronounced ), plural '' ies''. History In the Phoenician alphabet, the letter may have originated in a hieroglyph for an arm that represented a voiced pharyngeal fricative () in Egyptian, but was reassigned to (as in English "yes") by Semites, because their word for "arm" began with that sound. This letter could also be used to represent , the close front unrounded vowel, mainly in foreign words. Dangerous Minds
''Dangerous Minds'' is a 1995 American drama film directed by John N. Smith and produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer. It is based on the autobiography ''My Posse Don't Do Homework'' by retired U.S. Marine LouAnne Johnson, who in 1989 took up a teaching position at Carlmont High School in Belmont, California, where most of her students were African-American and Latino teenagers from East Palo Alto, a racially segregated and economically deprived city. Plot Four penguins are curious about an abandoned cabin. Their mother warns them in a song that "curiosity kills the cat". They ignore her, partly because she hypocritically displays her own curiosity over a stovepipe that they knocked to the ground. The penguins joyfully enter the cabin through the chimney. But inside the cabin, they find themselves in danger: two fiddle with a kettle of hot water and get hurt, one gets hurt when trying to operate a gramophone record, one wants to touch pepper, but he sneezes every time he gets near it, and one fiddles with a gun and accidentally gets his beak stuck in it, but he later gets it freed. Eventually, a penguin from the group plays with matchsticks, and fire is accidentally created in the process. The fire comes to life and attacks him. The penguin who ...

Hawaiian Birds
''Color Classics'' are a series of animated short films produced by Fleischer Studios for Paramount Pictures from 1934 to 1941 as a competitor to Walt Disney's ''Silly Symphonies''. As the name implies, all of the shorts were made in color format, with the first entry of the series, ''Poor Cinderella'' (1934), being the first color cartoon produced by the Fleischer studio. There were 36 shorts produced in this series. History The first ''Color Classic'' was photographed with the two-color Cinecolor process. The rest of the 1934 and 1935 cartoons were filmed in two-color Technicolor, because the Disney studio had an exclusive agreement with Technicolor that prevented other studios from using the lucrative three-strip process. That exclusive contract expired during September 1935, and the 1936 ''Color Classic'' cartoon ''Somewhere in Dreamland'' (1936) became the first Fleischer cartoon produced with three-strip Technicolor.Maltin, Leonard. Chicken A La King
The chicken (''Gallus gallus domesticus'') is a domesticated junglefowl species, with attributes of wild species such as the grey and the Ceylon junglefowl that are originally from Southeastern Asia. Rooster or cock is a term for an adult male bird, and a younger male may be called a cockerel. A male that has been castrated is a capon. An adult female bird is called a hen and a sexually immature female is called a pullet. Humans now keep chickens primarily as a source of food (consuming both their meat and eggs) and as pets. Traditionally they were also bred for cockfighting, which is still practiced in some places. Chickens are one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, with a total population of 23.7 billion , up from more than 19 billion in 2011. There are more chickens in the world than any other bird. There are numerous cultural references to chickens – in myth, folklore and religion, and in language and literature.
