Bob Peeters
Bob Peeters (born 10 January 1974) is a Belgian football manager and former player currently manager of Eerste Divisie club Helmond Sport. Club career Lierse Noted for his large stature, measuring 1.96 m, Peeters grew up in Wommelgem, Antwerp Province and joined Ternesse VV Wommelgem at a young age. He moved to the Lierse academy at the age of eight, progressing through the youth teams before making his senior debut in 1992 under head coach Herman Helleputte. In 1994, after the arrival of Eric Gerets as manager, Peeters experienced his breakthrough. The striker scored eight goals and formed a striking duo with Dirk Huysmans, in a Lierse-team counting profiles such as Nico Van Kerckhoven, Philip Haagdoren, Eric Van Meir and David Brocken which won the Belgian First Division A title in the 1996–97 season. Lier, Belgium
Lier (; french: Lierre, ) is a municipality located in the Belgium, Belgian province of Antwerp (province), Antwerp. It is composed of the city of Lier proper and the village of Koningshooikt. Eric Gerets
Eric Maria Gerets (, born 18 May 1954) is a Belgian football manager and former player who played as a right back. He started his playing career as an amateur for his local team AA Rekem, before achieving success with Standard Liège and PSV. Nicknamed "The Lion (of Flanders)", Gerets was regarded as one of the top right backs in Europe at his peak and is considered one of the greatest players in Belgian football history. He is famous for having captained PSV to their first and only European Cup win in 1988. As a coach, Gerets is best known for his advocacy of systems thinking. Peter Van Houdt
Peter Van Houdt (born 4 November 1976) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a forward and manager. Playing career Van Houdt started his professional career at Sint-Truiden and after playing four years for Roda JC in the Netherlands he spent several years in Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach and MSV Duisburg. After his stay in Germany he came back to the club where it all started for him, Sint-Truiden. Coaching career On 1 March 2010, it was confirmed that Van Houdt would become U17 manager for Jecora Herk and in the following season would become assistant manager for his former youth club Herk Sport under manager Dirk Verjans. After one season, he succeeded Verjans as manager of the club. On 24 October 2014, Van Houdt left Herk Sport to become the manager of KVK Wellen. Joos Valgaeren
Joos Valgaeren (, born 3 March 1976) is a Belgian former international professional footballer who played as a defender. His former clubs include Club Brugge in Belgium, Roda JC and FC Emmen in the Netherlands, and Celtic in Scotland. His most successful spell was his time at Celtic, where he won three league titles and was part of the side that reached the 2003 UEFA Cup Final. The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. David Brocken
David Brocken (born 18 February 1971) is a retired Belgian football player and current coach. Playing career After a long career in his home country, Brocken played 41 league matches for Vålerenga IF Fotball in 2004 and 2005. Manager career After his active career, David Brocken became youth coördinator with Lierse S.K. In 2007, he went back to Norway to become youth coördinator with another former team, Vålerenga. From 2009 he was sports director/youth coördinator with Frigg Oslo. Since 2012 Brocken has been the chief trainer of Kolbotn Fotball's elite-league women's team. He also started coaching the low-league men's team Rilindja IL. On 11 December 2015 it was announced that he would become the new head coach of Vålerenga Fotball Damer. Eric Van Meir (; born 28 February 1968) is a Belgian football manager and former player who played as a defender. His former clubs include Lierse, Charleroi and Standard Liège. Van Meir played for Belgium and was in the squad for the 1994, 1998 and 2002 World Cups and also for the Euro 2000 but played only a few matches.
