Robert "Bob" Mitchell is a New Zealand rugby league footballer who represented New Zealand. Playing career Mitchell played for the City Rovers in the Auckland Rugby League competition. He represented Auckland in 1910 against the touring Great Britain Lions. Richard Charles Mitchell (22 August 1927 – 18 September 2003), commonly known as Bob Mitchell, was a Labour Member of Parliament (MP) in the United Kingdom. He represented Southampton Test for Labour from 1966 to 1970, and Southampton Itchen for Labour and then the Social Democratic Party from 1971 to 1983. Early life Mitchell was born in Southampton on 22 August 1927. He attended Taunton's Grammar School as a youth and graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in Economics. Robert Wayne "Bob" Mitchell (November 29, 1936 – November 18, 2016) was a lawyer and former political figure in Saskatchewan, Canada. He represented Saskatoon Fairview from 1986 to 1999 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a New Democratic Party (NDP) member. He was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan in 1936, the son of Charles Stuart Mitchell and Beda Annette Abrahamson, and was educated in Sturgis and at the University of Saskatchewan, where he received a BA in Economics and a LLB. Mitchell articled in Regina and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1960. He practised law in Swift Current and Regina. Robert John Mitchell is an American geologist who holds the Digges Distinguished Professorship in engineering geology at Western Washington University. From 2002 to 2018, he was a Washington Licensed Hydrogeologist (L.HG.). Education Mitchell received a B.S. degree in geology (with a math minor) from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls in 1983, as well as an M.S. degree in geophysics from Michigan Technological University in 1986 and an M.S. in physics from the University of Minnesota in 1990. He received his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1996. Career Mitchell holds the Robert H. and Kathleen Digges Distinguished Professorship in the Geology Department at Western Washington University.
