Bob McKay
Robert Charles McKay (born December 27, 1947) is a former National Football League offensive lineman who played from 1970 through 1978, with the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots. As a college player at the University of Texas, McKay earned consensus All-American honors during the 1969 season, helping Texas win the national championship. During a 1975 Browns home game against the rival Pittsburgh Steelers, "Mean Joe" Greene repeatedly kicked McKay in the groin. Tackle (American Football Position)
Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. Gary Thomas Parris (born June 13, 1950 in East St. Louis, Illinois), is a former professional American football tight end. He played for three different teams from 1973–1980, including the San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and St. Louis (Arizona) Cardinals. Early life Parris was born June 13, 1950, in East St. Louis, Illinois. He later moved to Vero Beach, Florida. He attended Vero Beach High School, where he started playing football, earning the Indian River County Athlete of the Century Award. Parris helped start a Florida Flag Football dynasty by playing with the Palace (WCTV) team from Tallahassee, which won their first state championship in 1971. Thomas Denning DeLeone (August 13, 1950 – May 22, 2016) was an American football center who played 13 seasons in the National Football League, with the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. He grew up in Kent, Ohio and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1968, where he was on the football, basketball, and track teams. He played college football at Ohio State University, where he was a starting center and an All-Big Ten and first-team All-American selection. He later went on to work as a criminal investigator with the U.S. Department of the Treasury rising to a Senior Special Agent position within the U.S. Customs Service. In human anatomy, the groin (the adjective is ''inguinal'', as in inguinal canal) is the junctional area (also known as the inguinal region) between the abdomen and the thigh on either side of the pubic bone. This is also known as the medial compartment of the thigh that consists of the adductor muscles of the hip or the groin muscles. A pulled groin muscle usually refers to a painful injury sustained by straining the hip adductor muscles. Charles Edward Greene (born September 24, 1946), better known as "Mean" Joe Greene, is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1969 to 1981. A recipient of two NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, five first-team All-Pro selections, and ten Pro Bowl appearances, Greene is widely considered to be one of the greatest defensive linemen to play in the NFL.
