Robert Kerr (Australian Footballer)
Robert "Robbie" Kerr (born 19 March 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne Football Club, North Melbourne and the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Kerr was recruited to North Melbourne from Corpus Christie. He made three appearances for North Melbourne in both the 1987 and 1988 seasons. After playing for Brunswick Football Club, Brunswick in 1989, Kerr was picked up by Sydney in the 1989 VFL Draft, 1990 Pre-Season Draft. Bob Kerr (musician)
Robert Kerr (born 14 February 1940, Kensington, west London, England) is a comic musician who plays trumpet and cornet. He was originally a member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and was persuaded by Geoff Stephens to join The New Vaudeville Band, before forming his own combo, Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band. Kerr was a part of a reunited Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band line-up of surviving members, which toured in 2006 and 2008. He and his son, Matt, also operate a t-shirt A T-shirt (also spelled tee shirt), or tee, is a style of fabric shirt named after the T shape of its body and sleeves. Bobby Kerr is an Irish entrepreneur and businessman. He was the chairman of Insomnia Coffee Company. In 2009, he was a "dragon" on the Irish version of ''Dragons' Den'', produced by Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). Career Kerr's first job was in 1981 as chef/trainee manager in AIB Catering Ballsbridge. For two years he worked at the North Sea oil rigs, before working for Versa Food Services in Canada in 1984. While in Canada, Kerr held Assistant Catering Manager positions in the CNE Stadium Toronto, Ottawa Civic Centre, Crystal Beach Park and African Lion Safari and coordinated the catering for Pope John Paul II's visit to Canada in 1985 for one million people. Bob Kerr (born 1951) is an author, illustrator and artist based in Wellington, New Zealand. He writes and illustrates children’s books and has won several awards for his work. He lives and works in Wellington, New Zealand. Biography Bob Kerr was born in 1951 in Wellington, New Zealand. He grew up in Tokoroa and graduated with a Diploma of Fine Arts (Hons) in 1974 from the University of Auckland. In 1973 he was an editor of ''Craccum'' (the Auckland University Students' Association weekly magazine) along with collaborator Stephen Ballantyne, with whom he went on to create ''Terry and the Gunrunners'', which has been adapted for television twice. Mr Commissioner Robert Malcolm Kerr LL.D (5 June 1821–21 November 1902), was a British judge of the late Victorian era. Career Born in Glasgow, the son of John Kerr (1791-1853), a writer for ''The Signet'', and Elizabeth (née Malcolm), 'Commissioner Kerr' was educated at the University of Glasgow and then become an Advocate at the Faculty of Advocates in his native Scotland in 1843 before moving to London where he became a barrister in Lincoln's Inn in 1848. By 1851 Kerr was a Deputy County Court Judge on the Northern Circuit, and also lectured on Law for the Incorporated Law Society; he also edited an edition of Blackstone's ''Commentaries on the Laws of England''. In 1857 he was awarded the degree of LL.D by the University of Glasgow. In 1859 he was the last person to be elected by the Common Council of the City of London as a Judge of the Sheriff's Court of the City of London and then became a Judge at the Guildhall Court in the City of London for 43 years. Sent to Morocco by the Jewish Committee of the English Presbyterian Church to work as both a medical and religious missionary, Kerr provided various types of medical care to both Jewish and Muslim people. He served in Morocco for 30 years and provided aid to a diverse group of patients. Dr Robert Kerr FRSE FAS FRCSE (20 October 1757 – 11 October 1813) was a Scottish surgeon, writer on scientific and other subjects, and translator. Life Kerr was born in 1757 in Bughtridge, Roxburghshire, the son of James Kerr, a jeweller, who served as MP for Edinburgh 1747–1754, and his wife Elizabeth. He was sent to the High School in Edinburgh. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and practised at the Edinburgh Foundling Hospital as a surgeon. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1788. His proposers were Alexander Fraser Tytler, James Russell and Andrew Dalzell. At this time he lived at Foresters Wynd off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
