Bob Honohan
Robert P. Honohan (born 1940) is an Irish Gaelic football coach, selector and former player. At club he played with Donoughmore and Mitchelstown, divisional side Avondhu and at inter-county level with the Cork minor and junior teams. In a lengthy coaching career, Honohan has had All-Ireland successes at different inter-county levels. Playing career Honohan began his club career with Donoughmore before transferring to the Mitchelstown club after taking a teaching post in the town. He was at centre-forward when his adopted club won the 1965 Cork IFC title after beating St. Vincent's in the final. Honohan enjoyed further success by winning three North Cork JAFC titles in five seasons between 1969 and 1973. His performances at club level earned his inclusion on the Avondhu divisional team, while he also played hurling with the Ballygiblin club. Donoughmore
Donoughmore (spelt ''Donaghmore'' by Ordnance Survey Ireland; Irish: ''Domhnach Mór'') is a civil and Catholic parish in County Cork, Ireland. This rural district lies 25 km west-northwest of Cork city. Donoughmore is part of the Cork North-Central (Dáil constituency). Geography The area of Donoughmore is stated as 22309 acres or 9028 hectares. Donoughmore is subdivided into 40 townlands in total. Some are divided into north–south or Lower/Upper, etc.; counting the townlands without dividing them there are 32 townlands in total. All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Championship is the premier under-17 "knockout" competition in Gaelic football played in Ireland. 2017 was the final year of the minor under 18 football championship as it were replaced by an under 17 championship following a vote at the GAA congress on 26 February 2016. The series of games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association and are played during the summer months with the All-Ireland Minor Football Final being played on the third Sunday in September in Croke Park, Dublin as the curtain-raiser to the senior final. All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. The first tournament was held in 1887; it has been held every year since 1889. The National Football League (NFL; ga, Sraith Náisiúnta Peile) is an annual Gaelic football competition between the senior county teams of Ireland plus London. 1966 All-Ireland Junior Football Championship
The 1966 All-Ireland Junior Football Championship was the 45th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1912. Galway entered the championship as defending champions, however, they were beaten by Down in the All-Ireland semi-final. The All-Ireland final was played on 23 October 1966 at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, between London and Cork, in what was their second ever meeting in the final. Munster Junior Football Championship
The Munster Junior Football Championship is a gaelic football tournament between the six counties of Munster: Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Waterford. It is the third-tier county teams playing off in a single-elimination tournament with 2 quarter finals instead of 4 (as of 2014). The cup was first given to the winners in 1957. Kerry have won the most titles, 42 in all. The winner will play against the champions of the other provinces in the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship.
