Bob Casey (rugby Player)
Bob Casey (born 18 July 1978) is an Irish former rugby union footballer who used to play at lock for London Irish until his retirement at the end of the 2011/2012 season. He was later Operations Director and then the CEO at the same club until he resigned in March 2017. Originally from Maynooth, County Kildare, he was educated at Blackrock College, a Dublin secondary school renowned for producing international rugby players. Casey is currently a consultant for Korn Ferry in Dublin. Club career Casey joined Leinster in 1999 and played three seasons before moving to London Irish in July 2002, having previously played for Blackrock College RFC and North Kildare RFC. He was the club's Players' Player of the Season in 2003–04 and was the London Irish Supporters Club Player of the Season 2004–05 and later club captain until his retirement from playing. Maynooth
Maynooth (; ga, Maigh Nuad) is a university town in north County Kildare, Ireland. It is home to Maynooth University (part of the National University of Ireland and also known as the National University of Ireland, Maynooth) and St Patrick's College, a Pontifical University and Ireland's sole Roman Catholic seminary. 2008 Churchill Cup
The 2008 Churchill Cup took place between 7 June and 21 June 2008 in what was the sixth year of the Churchill Cup. Six rugby union teams took part: , England Saxons, Ireland A, Scotland A, the , and an Argentinian XV. Participation The entry of an Argentinian XV into the competition stems from a decision by the New Zealand Rugby Union not to assemble its 'A' team, the Junior All Blacks, in 2008; as a consequence, the New Zealand Māori, who have taken part in the last three Churchill Cup tournaments, replaced the Juniors in the Pacific Nations Cup and were not available for the Churchill Cup. Christina Noble Children's Foundation
The Christina Noble Children's Foundation, also known as simply the CNCF, is an international Non-governmental organization, non-government organization, dedicated to serving the world's oppressed and marginalized children. It was founded following a visit to Vietnam by Christina Noble, who was prompted by a dream she had had during the time of the Vietnam War, of Vietnamese children begging for her help. Barbarians (rugby Team)
The Barbarian Football Club, known as the Barbarians is a British-based invitational rugby union club. The Barbarians play in black and white hoops, though players wear socks from their own club strip. Membership is by invitation. As of 2011, players from 31 countries had played for them. Traditionally at least one uncapped player is selected for each match. Until rugby union became a professional sport, the Barbarians usually played six annual matches: with Penarth, Cardiff, Swansea and Newport at Easter; a game with Leicester on 27 December and the Mobbs Memorial Match against East Midlands in the spring.
